I had an extensive suite of rooms - the main snag was that the airconditioning didn't work and as it was August, I had trouble sleeping. I resorted to the balcony! Breakfast not provided. THere was some problem with the booking but this was soon resolved.

From the online booking to the minute we departed, this place was wonderful. Milne is the friendliest guy, and perfectly represents this place. Right in the middle of Old Town, convenient walks to several restaurants, the fortress is maybe 4 blocks. Our room, on the third floor, was quiet, with a beautiful view. It was clean and roomy. My one complaint (but this is more about Bulgaria than this hotel) is that the mattresses were pretty bad. With no elevator, Milne carried our luggage for us, realizing my struggles after back surgery. And the vending machines in the lobby? If you want a drink and don’t have change, there is a basket on the counter full of coins. Underground parking is limited, but I communicated our need for one and it was reserved. Final thought: one of the nicest little hotels I’ve ever stayed in, with 45 countries under my belt. Don’t miss this one!
