Hotel Il Mercante di Venezia

The location is very good, close to Santa Lucia station. The hotel is a little old and the rooms are old but clean.

It was just so-so. The bathroom in our room had a strong smell, but the other room had no smell. The advantage is that the location is relatively good, and the rooms are decorated in European style and have characteristics. Breakfast is easy. The bedding, pillows, and mattresses are okay. The air conditioner in the room is old and a bit noisy but warm. I don’t know whether I will stay there in the future or not, and it won’t be my first choice.

The hot water in the hotel is too cold

The room is small and has a smell, just for one night, not recommended! We still live off the island! You have to go through the gate first, but you have to get another check-in front desk a little earlier to let them open the door (the entrance and the front desk are not in the same place)

Small family hotel. Room 212 is above the patio. The room has a kind of air conditioning, we decided not to turn it on. For breakfast they offer prosciutto and cheese, there is a coffee machine. Check-out until 10.00, but you can leave your luggage in a separate room.

Three stars is a bit of an exaggeration even for Italy. A big advantage of the hotel is the location and friendly service. Breakfast is also acceptable. The rooms, however, bring down the overall rating. A table with a kettle and tea and two bottles of water for the night would be useful in the room. In addition, you can feel the stuffiness and mild mustiness in the room despite daily cleaning. There was nowhere to put soap or shampoo in the shower. In the bathroom, a rusting radiator, a dryer with peeling paint. It all gives a picture of this place.

It is close to Santa Lucia Station, but be careful as it is easy to miss the corner that turns to the hotel. The hotel staff are very bright, friendly and helpful. It was the best part of my trip. No elevator, stairs up to 2nd floor. If it's higher than that, it's impossible to carry a heavy and big suitcase. The breakfast venue is small and gets crowded, so it's good to go a little early. It was so crowded that I couldn't sit down, so they kindly let me have breakfast in my room. Because it was a deluxe room, the room was large, clean and comfortable with a small garden. It is inconvenient that the shower cannot be fixed. I didn't know where the nice garden in the hotel introduction photo was. I don't have a kettle, but they gave me one. He also recommended a delicious restaurant. Hotel where I want to stay again.
