This resort is very beautiful and the staff was extremely nice. I would give this a 5 star rating, but the dining options are very limited, especially dinner……weird hours & random days open or closed & not easily accessible and if you don’t make reservations you will wait over an hour. Yes they have room service but the prices are much higher. Also, since you’re on a private island you have to shuttle back to Venice & find somewhere in order to get a quick meal.

We chose the JW Marriot as the last leg of our Italy trip based on reviews and the fact that we are loyal to Marriot. We could not have been happier with our choice. The hotel and property exceeded our expectations. And the staff could not have been more accommodating. In particular, Guilia at the front desk, spent quite a bit of time checking us in as we had a few questions that she was more than happy to answer for us. She also found out we were celebrating our anniversary and had a lovely note and treat sent to our room. We also met her counterpart the next morning, Alice (guest relations supervisor). We had a nice chat with her as well and she found out we had an early water taxi pickup the next morning, so she had breakfast boxes to go, waiting for us bright and early the next morning. She also included a few treats that we had mentioned that we enjoyed at breakfast. It’s this attention to detail that makes this hotel stand out. And for this reason, we plan to return for another visit next year and will plan to stay for a few extra nights so that we can take advantage of the spa and the beautiful property!
