Hotel Principe is truly one of the most convenient stays in Venice, located just a short walk from the Santa Lucia train station — a great advantage in a city full of bridges and steps . The hotel offers two guest lifts, which makes moving around with luggage incredibly easy.
The lounge area is spacious, beautifully decorated, and provides a warm, elegant welcome. One of the highlights is the direct access to the Venice canal right from within the hotel. You can relax and enjoy the charming view of boats gliding along the water — a quintessential Venetian experience.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, offering a pleasant stay overall. We genuinely hope the hotel continues to maintain its good standard, as we would love to return on our future visits to Venice.

This hotel is less than 5-10 mins to both train station and water bus jetty. The bathroom is newly renovated and very clean with heater. Bed was comfortable. The only issue is the awful smell along the corridor maybe from the canal. Highly recommended if don’t want to drag your luggage too far.

We enjoyed very much our stay. The view from our room to the canal, was breathtaking. Good breakfast with different options. Room very clean and cosy. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Area closed to train, ferries and bus to the airport. Super convenient. Would come back to this hotel with no hesitation.

Great location near the main train station and boat piers. Staff was very nice and helpful. Get the deluxe room with balcony as the view is amazing. Full view of the canal. The room and decor has an older dated look.

This was a perfect last stop to the end of our trip. Close to the train station when we got there, room was ready to go so we were very happy. Easy walk to the public water taxi and also private water taxi, they even have a dock if needed.

The hotel does not correspond to its star level. I would give it 3*, the rooms need renovation for a long time, the air conditioner has not been cleaned for a long time, it was all in dust, Wi-Fi works very slowly, there are also advantages, such as a good breakfast and a beautiful view of the Grand Canal.

The location here was amazing, close to the train station and a short walk into all the sights.
The room was cleaned daily and a good size.
Hotel staff were super friendly hand helpful, breakfast had a fair choice of cold cuts and breads/cakes and a small selection of cooked foods (eggs, bacon, sausage)
The only real disappointment of our stay was that despite having very specifically booked a double bed room, our room was two single beds which had been shoved together, with two single mattresses and separate bedding. The beds were very easy to slide apart from each other and I almost rolled into the gap between them during the night.
Would still recommend but be mindful when choosing your room
