Palazzo la Scala

The location is very convenient, right in the middle of Venice Island, almost right away after getting off the boat. The hotel is in a retro style, not big but has everything you need. This price/performance ratio is really good~

Location was good.

Chambre propre et atypique. Acceuil sympathique et pas loin de la place saint Marc. Le réceptionniste nous a donné des bonnes adresses de restaurant italiens à qui appartient encore les restaurants,donc super pour faire vivre ceux qui ont toujours mis leurs savoir faire pour faire vivre leurs pays et garder les biens de leurs ancêtres.

A 5 minuti da Piazza San Marco. Veloce e comodo. Quando si arriva l'ascensore è sempre al piano zero, si entra e si è già dentro in camera. La camera è contenuta ma ben disposta. Il bagno è pulitissimo e la doccia ampia Tutto molto molto bello, MA il materasso è infossato a causa delle doghe non adatte, consiglio delle assi di legno tra doghe e materasso. Il minifrigo è rumoroso e va scollegato per dormire meglio. Non aprite le finestre,MAI! perche essendo vicini al canale entrano flotte di ZANZARE rompi pa...e.

So make sure you have hot water! After 2 days of fighting for hot water. He arrived telling me that I had to run the water from the bidet to have hot water in the shower!! They told me they had more rooms after checking there were 2 left.

We stayed there for 4 days; the room was, yes, small but clean. There is an elevator. The street where the hotel is located is so discreet that we had some trouble finding it. The welcome is charming: there are 3 people in charge, all very helpful. The breakfast, to be taken at the Colonete located 5 minutes away on foot, is excellent and plentiful. A good place overall! 👍 🙂

Stayed in rooms 401 and 402, both with broken air conditioning. One didn't turn on and the other couldn't turn off, so in one room we were dying of heat and in the other they were literally dying of cold. Those from 401 woke up with a sore throat from being so cold. The next day we had an altercation with hotel staff and the technician because my 80-year-old mother did not open the door of 402 so they could go in to check/fix the air conditioning and we ended up talking to them and with a bad taste in our mouths. The mattresses in 401 are in terrible condition, with springs sticking out and sagging, the bedding old and worn. I am sorry.

The only thing that was really good here was the location. To get in you have to call the reception where hardly anyone is ever there. Our room was very overdue, the toilet kept running, it was very hot, cracks in the wall, water damage and the shower / bath was not working properly and also very small if you are taller than 1.60. The bed slept very badly and it was very noisy. We were in a room where you had to go up for the bed, not very convenient. For breakfast you had to walk to a restaurant nearby. This was ok, but could have been a lot better. We would not book here again, it was not worth the money.
