Hotel Concordia

Amazing hotel to stay in the heart of Venice - Only issue is it’s pretty noisy until 2am in the morning & heating is controlled through reception (why not directly from rooms)

Best location!

The breakfast was disappointing.

The best hotel for our honeymoon during 2 weeks in Italy &Switzerland . Better than a more expensive hotel around this area ,SAN MARCO. Hotel staffs are very kind . breakfast is splendid. I recommend this hotel so much.

Short visit but a great time. View with the balcony was special.

The first big tick is the location, which is so close to the favourite meeting spot in the city, St Marks Square. The Concordia will serve a lovely breakfast but meals beyond that are not really offered, and that is understandable as there are literally a dozen restaurants just a few steps away, some outstanding some merely good. Of course we did not stay long enough to try them all. The only thing I didn’t like was that the hotel entrance was in the next street across from St Marks and opened directly onto a staircase as the small hotel lift did not go to the street level but only to the hotel reception one floor up. This we were told was due to Venice’s well known propensity to flood. Not a big deal but after walking all over Venice, up and over the many canal bridges and you arrive back at your hotel for a well deserved rest, there is always one more staircase to climb! The room itself was a decent size although the bathroom and shower in particular was on the small side. The bedding was very comfortable and the decor excellent. The hotel has one room with access to a small roof terrace. We did not book that room but we were given access to the terrace for a quick look, something well worth asking about. The room TV only featured Italian language channels, but you don’t really go to Venice to watch TV. Anyhow overall a great hotel, good service at a fair price and worth a visit.
