Palazzina Fortuny

The property and especially the staff were amazing! We were a little concerned when we walked in when it was dark as it is a very quiet alley. That all changed as we got to know the area. It was a perfect location near everything we wanted to see and do. Our room was well appointed, spacious and clean. Better than the pictures show. The hotel is very chic and the staff are very helpful and pleasant.

Hotel had bed bugs, they refused to refund money after we complained about bed bugs. As they said they have a no cancelation and no refunds policy. Do not stay here.

This hotel is centrally located to the water bus and many restaurants. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the Acqua Alta, which is basically a flooded street. We had to wade through calf high water to reach the front of the hotel where we were greeted by a slim wooden board propped up from the street to the door. I'm not sure what this is for as you would be hard pressed to walk up it or use it to get your luggage from the street to the door. A large board or an old door would have done the trick, but we were soaked before we even got to this point. Granted, we understand the flooding is not the fault of the hotel. The staff at reception are kind and will make you a coffee in the small dining area, but there is no breakfast in house. Our room was spacious and everything worked well in the bathroom. I was grateful for the terrazzo floors because when we arrived, our shoes were soaked and ruined. I think these floods are seasonal and we visited in October.

Very friendly staff, helpful with multiple requests including asking for later checkout when our flight was delayed and phoned a hotel on our behalf to speak Italian to request a booking. Only problem we found our whole stay was a shower head which was broken. Would definitely stay again.

It was a very purposeful hotel. A clean place to sleep when not out exploring. Rooms are small but nice big bed. A little Noisy in the morning. No breakfast available or coffee, tea, except instant in the room. Sometimes difficult to communicate with staff, but everyone tried hard. The cleanliness was lovely.

We enjoyed our stay here - it was small & quaint. Very walkable to just about any part of Venice. Highly recommend!

Nice local hotel with everything we needed and close to everything. Clean, quiet, and friendly. No large sign or other markings, so it can be a little hard to find the entrance.
