Looks a bit old, but is well kept and very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. A bit far from the train and bus stations, but very close to attractions and to water bus service.
Would stay there again.

Cette année, c'était mon 10e séjour au Carnaval de Venise et à l'Hôtel Fontana. Je ne peux que conseiller cet hôtel : un emplacement idéal, des chambres pleines de charme, un petit déjeune très correct et surtout, un personnel au top ! Merci à Diego, Gabriele, Federico et à l'ensemble du personnel pour leur accueil chaleureux. Je me sens chez moi chaque fois que j'y vais.

Nice area with plenty of shops and restaurants. It is a small hotel run by two cousins who were very pleasant and accommodating. the continental Breakfast was optional fee and was very good for the price

The staff was courteous and friendly. They agreed to move us out of our original room due to an odor in the bathroom overnight. They claimed nothing was wrong but when we checked it out again the odor was there. No coffeemaker in room. No coffee until 7:30 and only if you have free breakfast as part of your stay. Now that I have a better idea about Venice I would look at other options.

Hotel Fontana has clean and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts, and a very friendly staff eager to provide restaurant recommendations and sightseeing tips or just to chat. It's only five minutes from St. Mark's Square and Basilica, the Doge's Palace, and a vaporetti station. A great find in Venice!
