Anzolo Palace - Rooms & Apartments

Excellent 1 bedroom apartment directly on a canal and a stone's throw from St. Marks and many restaurants. We loved having our own space to stretch out and get away from the insanity. Windows open directly onto the canal with passing gondolas. Very charming. Has central heating (nice!) and pretty much everything you need to have a sense of your own space in crazy overtouristed Venice!

Edit: Update from Airbnb - after escalating this with Airbnb, they informed me that this host has been reported before and that if he gets reported again, his property will be suspended. Highly suggest those who run into issues with him to report him so he can’t keep scamming other people. — AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Booked this through Airbnb and the listing is misleading, to say the least. Dishonest and unreliable host. Upon arrival, we noticed he intentionally hid the fact that there was no shower door in his Airbnb photos. Instead, there was a shower curtain that was full of mildew. To make matters worse, the air conditioner stopped working. We also noticed a lot of mold inside. It was during the hottest days of an Italian summer, at 35 degrees outside. We had no choice but to book a last minute hotel. We contacted the host for a refund, which he agreed to. But upon giving him our PayPal information (which he had asked for, instead of going through Airbnb), he completely disappeared on us. We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but now we have to go through Airbnb to request a refund. Save yourself from a headache and dirty room - book something else.

Very clean, in a fantastic location in Venice, would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Property was in an excellent location - especially for Rialto Bridge and St Marks. The room itself was very basic and looks more so than the pictures. I had booked it as a surprise trip for a birthday and it definitely didn’t have a wow factor or visual appeal. The lamp next to the bedside table didn’t work and the bathroom light was very hit and miss whether it worked. Bathroom was tiny but enough clean towels provided. No issues with cleanliness. You rely on other guests to properly close the front door to the property, on several occasions on our trip we returned to find it left open. Once inside you can access any of the rooms upstairs which didn’t make it feel the most secure. Didn’t see any staff there during the stay. Luggage was left in an unlocked and unattended room upon check in/check out. Overall the price was worth it for the location but it’s somewhere to stay if you don’t really want to spend time in your room. The tax payable at the property was 3x what ******* told me it would be so be wary.
