Hotel ai do Mori

Hotel molto caratteristico, ricavato da un vecchio palazzetto a due passi da Piazza San Marco. Lo staff molto gentile e premuroso, la vista che si gode dalla stanza all'ultimo piano è impareggiabile anche se piuttosto angusta, definirla superior è un po' eccessivo.

The only positive point is the location really very close to St Mark's Square and the boat stops. Then, everything goes wrong... Approximate cleanliness (dead insects which have never changed place in 3 days, stain on the pillow) and towels not replaced on the last day, nothing left to wash and dry yourself ... Terrible bedding with sloping mattress and very tired springs. The hotel is old and dilapidated, carpets, tapestries in the common areas. Owner not necessarily very pleasant, never available (reception closed 3 days in a row at 8:30 a.m. but the owner then blames you for never seeing you and not spending your days at the hotel to meet him). It says on the booking sites that the hotel has stairs but you should definitely know that they are horribly steep and narrow and if you are as unlucky as us, you will be on the 3rd floor, and believe me we can feel them passing! Bathroom not included in room 7, you will be on the landing with a door to which you will have the key so that it is very private, not the most practical and intimate. Room too small (still 7), impossible to open the suitcase anywhere other than on the bed. Very busy street, bar just below, very noisy, bring earplugs to hope for sleep. No breakfast. Far too expensive for the mediocrity of the place.

Abbiamo prenotato una camera famigliare composta da due camere comunicanti con un bagno condiviso. Tutto molto pulito e confortevole. Il condizionatore é presente solo in una delle due camere pero' lasciando aperte le porte le camere si rinfrescano velocemente. Una delle due camere é molto stretta però più che confortevole per una vacanza di due o tre giorni. L'hotel é proprio in una via laterale alla basilica di San Marco ed é proprio comodissimo. Si ha accesso alle camere tramite dei codici di accesso per aprire le porte della struttura. Le scale sono strette e i gradini ripidi e non esiste l'ascensore. C'é una piccola cucina che puo' essere utilizzata come deposito bagagli di cui pero' non abbiamo usufruito. Sotto all'hotel c'e' un piccolo bar dove é possibile avere un cappuccino e una briosche per circa 5 euro a persona. Il personale é disponibile e molto cortese. Se non avete problemi a fare le scale per accedere alle camere Vi consiglio questa struttura. Se in vacanza cercate un luogo pulito con letti confortevoli, a buon prezzo e a due passi, ma proprio due passi, da San Marco per poter alzarvi alla mattina presto e vedere l'alba da Piazza San Marco quest'hotel fa per voi !

A stone's throw from Saint Mark's Square, that's the only advantage. We sell you the view of the campanile but it is for only one of the rooms, the other rooms have zero view (see photos). The entire hotel deserves a refresh from A to Z, dilapidated bathroom, questionable cleanliness.
