A great get away! We live in FL and come here!

Checking in was great and the women were super friendly and helpful. The house cleaning service texted me about the best times to clean the room which was so convenient. The only negative was I left two drawers of clothes in the room for which I called about shortly after checking out, but they were not recovered.

Beautiful spot. Restaurant fine. Staff lovely. So why only three stars? We’ve been almost every Easter since they opened. We don’t skimp on rooms - last year our ocean front was ocean off to the side … I worried I booked the suite incorrectly … didn’t say anything and wondered if I’d hit water view instead of ocean front … this year I was careful - ocean front suite … well over $1000 a night - I got to the front desk and explained how unhappy I’d been the year before (having had many good years) and I wanted to make sure this year ocean front was ocean front - he reassured me it was and it was one of the larger suites … I should have gone up and checked … the living room looks over condos and in the distance you see the ocean- you can’t hear a single wave break … the bedroom looks over the living room so nothing at all. The real ocean front suites have a bedroom and living room that both look at the ocean and if you leave the windows open at night you go to sleep listening to the waves … No idea how to book correctly going forward as we didn’t skimp - and we’re still not where I thought I paid for … so the weekend will cost us over 5000 and I think for that kind of money I need to figure out how to get what’s advertised. All in all feel like I’m living in a bait and switch.

Kimpton Vero Beach is a nice spot on the beach; however, the property needs a lot of TLC. The refrigerator in our suite froze our drinks and leftovers and leaked water. When I notified the front desk, all that was done was to adjust the refrigerator setting. Everything was still frozen. After our suite was cleaned, the odor of bleach permeated the space. which forced us to leave to allow the odor to dissipate. Bleach is a cheap alternative to using toilet cleansers. It’s also not the safest for the housekeepers, who are constantly exposed to it. The food at Cobalt was delectable; all of the hotel and restaurant staff were gracious and accommodating.

Not sure where to begin on how amazing the staff is at The Vero Beach Kimpton. Evan, Summer, Ashley, Jonathan, Chris, Charles, Jacob, Row, Nikki Estes are all top notch staff. Our daughter got married here on 3/10/24 and the staff was amazing and the wedding was beautiful. We stayed for 8 nights and were so well taken care of everyday. We love this hotel and the staff and they are the reason we come back time after time for a vacation. Never mind the view and the beach and the other incredible amenities the hotel offers.

We just returned from our first trip to Vero Beach and we stayed at the Compton hotel. This place was ideally situated to the downtown shopping and dining area. Everyone at the hotel was extremely accommodating especially the front desk manager Jonathan and Ashley. They were both extremely helpful in getting us into a beautiful room overlooking the pool. We loved everything about the room and hotel and we highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in Vero Beach.

First the good. Staff is 10 star and go out of their way to please guests. We were greeted by valet. You can only valet park your car. Offered champagne when we walked into lobby. Our room was not ready and they said they would text us when it was ready. Headed to Publix to get snacks and received a call from front desk that room was ready. We received a text every morning g asking if we needed anything. One morning asked for shampoo and it was at our door in a minute. Beach staff will set up your chair and umbrella. I like that these are included in the resort fee as I have been to places where they charge a resort fee and want more money for an umbrella. My wife stepped out of the pool and the attendant was waiting for her with a towel. Housekeeping bent over backwards to provide anything we could ask for. There is coffee in lobby in the morning and popcorn and drinks in the afternoon. There are always a variety of beverages available in lobby and cold bottled water at pool. Beach service was also excellent. The room is very nice. Perfect size. Bathroom had soaking tub and good size shower and two sinks. We didn’t watch tv but it is oddly placed facing the side of the room. Bed was comfortable. The thermostat and air conditioning worked well. So all of the above is five stars. THE BAD-I think I was misled about the room. They touted a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard when I made my reservation (which for 4 days was $1000 more than a lower level room.). It is not a COURTYARD it is the parking lot/street. The hotel is a u shape with the u facing the street. I never saw anyone sitting on their balcony to stare at the parking lot during our stay. I asked several times for the less expensive room- I would have e preferred to look at a brick wall then stare at the parking lot. Simply put-the reservations desk completely mislead me. If you are not willing to pay for ocean view I would go somewhere else. Really left a bad taste in my mouth for an otherwise exceptional property.

Very nice

Arrived for a 5 night stay with a friend . Pros: location, location, location. You can walk to many restaurants, shops and bars. The beach is absolutely beautiful - no high rise buildings except 2 and miles of walkable beach. The surf was a bit rough for swimming unfortunately as I love the ocean and was disappointed not going in. Jack- valet was fabulous. He was friendly, kind and informative. Please tip him well. The valets hustle parking guests cars as well as patrons for Cobalt. Pool / beach staff- very nice and attentive . Saw some people not tip them after setting up chairs, towels and umbrellas. Guests need to tip those guys. Food very adequate at pool . Typical pool menu . Fire pit by ocean- nice on cool evenings though lots of dirty glasses / food items not picked up. Room- 2 BR, 1 bath worked well for 2 friends traveling together. The king room where I stayed was very tight and hard to get around without hitting your shins on bed frame. I see other reviews saying the same. If a couple were in that room it would be extremely uncomfortable. Luckily we didn’t spend anytime in room but sleeping. The waterproof mattress cover was very annoying as it made noise and felt slippery. Not ideal but I could deal with it. Cons- arrival at front desk was not ideal after a delightful experience with Jack at valet. Things went south quickly. I called hotel day of arrival requesting a 1:00 check in. I was told they would try but hotel was fully committed. I had checked on 3 sites ahead of time and saw our room category was available to book the night before and all the way to our end date. ( full disclosure Iwas a travel agent years ago). They were not fully booked. I kindly asked if not our room then could we get another category. After much typing, going into the back room , etc and a new person helping me they said nothing was available and they would call when we could get in to our room. They kindly offered the pool area and changing room which we did. By 4:30 no one had called or texted so I went to front desk. Once again asked for any available room or upgrade and really got the run around. I felt like they were not willing to upgrade us bc we had a discounted rate , $893 a night vs $1200. By no means inexpensive. We finally got in our room which was very nice with a patio . I would not want a lanai room poolside as it could get very noisy with outside people hanging around the area. No sooner had we unpacked when a guy knocked on the door saying he was there to fix a clogged sink. Nope, not us thank you. An hour later a call asking if we were the room that needed a new bed frame. No, not us thank you. Our room was 85 degrees so nice guys from engineering came and fixed it after leaving to get a maintenance manual . All went well for the week until our last night. We decided to have dinner at the bar at Cobalt. Bartenders very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately and not by any means the hotels fault we sat next to a couple who
