We had a very nice and original room in the backyard. The location of the hotel is very central. Perhaps the only thing to complain about is the quality of the breakfast. It wasn't bad, but didn't quite fit the stylish accommodation.

A beautiful and unique hotel with great charm. Family run and welcoming. An opportunity to stay in an elegant, authentic and traditional hotel.
The Secret Garden breakfast setting was lovely and breakfast was very pleasant.
There is a nice little lounge area where you can make yourself a hot drink and find a book or magazine to read.
The rooms are nicely decorated and furnished with modern ensuites. Air conditioning being a welcome feature in hot weather.
The owners are obliging and helpful.
A more authentic stay than modern or chain hotels.

The hotel met all my expectations. The room was nice and unfortunately faced the street, but with the windows closed the noise was at its limit.
Functional and friendly reception. Breakfast was more than good and plentiful.

This is a wonderful small family hotel. The location is walking distance to train station and airport bus. It is a short walk in old town to see attractions. There are many nearby restaurants. The breakfast in “The Secret Garden Room” is very nice with many choices, including fresh fruit. The coffee was really good. There is a sitting room on mezzanine floor with tea makings open 24 hrs. I would choose Hotel Scalzi again.

I found this hotel online last year for our trip to Verona. Wow - what a fabulous hotel. Perfectly situated for walking into Verona and only 10 minute walk to the railway station. The Italian railway system was fabulous with luxurious trains, punctual and relatively cheap compared to the UK. Trips to Lake Garda, Florence and Venice. We stayed in the Garden Room which was lovely. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Special mention for Noman at reception and the two ladies who looked after us exceptionally well at breakfast. My wife and I would definitely return to this hotel if we visited Verona again. Thank you Hotel Scalzi for making our first trip to Italy so memorable. The gift of the small bottle of Prosecco in our fridge for our 30th wedding anniversary was a lovely touch.

hotel discret pas loin du centre, très cher et impersonnel. Petit déjeuners servis dans une salle lugubre et sinistre. Nous avions une chambre supérieure, mais glaciale et le service le matin au petit déjeuner n'était pas pro. L'ensemble ressemble a un depot de brocante sans charme et sans soin. c'etait très cher, 376 euros pour 2 nuits petit dej et parking ( la place proposée n'était pas disponible en plus ..) ca ne vaut pas plus qu'un 2 étoiles minable. par contre le prix est dément. a eviter

Such a beautiful hotel, really easy access to everything you need. It’s grand and luxurious yet small and homely. We loved our bedrooms and the decorations throughout the hotel. The little breakfast room and courtyard is lovely as were the staff. Highly recommend this accommodation.
