Holiday Inn Express & Suites Vicksburg

The front desk clerk Linda was phenomenal. The only down fall of the trip was the bathroom. The shower was broken we reported it but nothing changed.

Place was dirty and condition is poor. Breakfast was just awful, but the coffee was great!!

We booked an assessable/handicap room. The commode was not ADA compliant. Very disappointing.

The hotel is going through a renovation which is good. Cleanliness of our room was not up to my expectations.

I have stayed at a lot of Holiday Inn Express & Suites in many different states and was never disappointed until this time. The room as a whole was not very clean (from the bedding, bath towels, floor, etc.). Toilet water was leaking onto the tiles in the bathroom so maintenance put towels all over the floor and said they will try to fix it the next day. Don't know if they fixed it because I checked out. The refrigerator did not get cool even on the highest setting so my food spoiled. Breakfast was good but one of the workers asked my family and I if we were hotel guest or not, as if we were stealing their breakfast. Apparently they have people coming off the streets into their hotel eating breakfast and getting their coffee. The lady who checked us in was nice and so was the cleaning staff. They were doing construction on the 3rd floor from 7am to 6pm. So no quietness for us who were staying on the 2nd floor. Hopefully they will renovate the whole hotel because the Comfort Inn we stayed at the next day cost less and was way better than this establishment. Usually I take pictures in my hotel room but I didn't this time cause I was a bit embarrassed at the way it looked. So disappointing. Makes me think twice about booking the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in the future.

What my wife and I most liked was the warm, friendly reception that we received when we checked in. The evening hostess, Linda, made us feel very welcome.

Paid in advance for a suite . Once we arrived , we were informed the property was under construction & they were unable to deliver our request. They showed us a standard room with 2 queen beds & offered to place a rollaway bed in front of the bathroom door , but there wasn’t room for our family members wheelchair . The only other option they gave us was to purchase an additional room , which we were forced to do under the circumstance.

There was only one thing wrong with this room. The heavy blackout drapes were not even designed to be able to be closed, and even the shears did not close without being clipped together. No blackout, and not even any privacy. The lovely lady at the front desk knew exactly what I was talking about, and she handed me a bunch of large paper clips. I was able to jury-rig the drapes to be 80% effective. What genius designed those window coverings? Everything else was great!
