We had a wonderful stay !! Our trip, was too short !! Lonnie made us fell like visiting a family member!! Our cottage was perfect with all the amenities and stunning views. Wonderful place to visit the cabot trail! Hope to see you soon !! Martin

This so called resort is a huge scam. The owner contacted me via phone and said the sites are mid-leading her business. The site offers free breakfast/ not the case when you arrive The site offers an apartment suite with a queen bed and a double bed/ they have a double bed and a fouton. The site offers kitchenette/ room has small fridge/ microwave/sink The room is polluted with scents, so if you have any allergies you will be out of luck because the owner argues with you! Requested another room and got yelled at by the owner, told “ Good luck finding another place to stay” when I asked for a refund for false advertising it was denied! The grounds are kind of like the site but both hot tubs were disgusting and NOT clean. Linens on the fouton were covered in dirt and crumbs… I left the resort with my family and found other accommodations after being screamed at by the owner when I addressed all the things that were offered on the site and were not what we were given. I will would NOT stay here, in all the years of travelling I have done to Cape Breton every fall, I would NEVER recommend this supposed to be 4 star resort. The owner was the most disrespectful, ignorant person in hospitality I have ever encountered.

I give the place points for its on the shore location. Other than that, we were disappointed. Our room had no air conditioning (and it was definitely needed), Wifi was very inconsistent. The room was buggy and hot. Furniture was in need of updating and not particularly comfortable. We were also next door to a loud family.

From the moment we got there it was awful and not at all what they advertise, they arent pet or kid friendly in the least, not even sure you could consider her people friendly, they told us 11 am check in, waited until 3 to get in, started with complaints about parking, then putting our frozen food away, then about kids jumping off a couple steps, trying to blame our dog for previous guests damage(she told us there was a dog there for two weeks before us), wife left for a few minutes to run to cafe up the road and our dog was with me in the cabin and the owner was driving around on her golf cart getting him going and called complaining that he was left alone in the cabin, after multiple instances like this ( including her saying STRICT check out time but better if we leave earlier) we had enough and packed up our things and left, ive truly never had such a terrible host, nor met such a miserable lady in my entire life, NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY I PROMISE.

I am only writing this review to warn the future tourists. We had a terrible stay at this so called resort. The entire place was not clean, especially the kitchen area. We had to rewash very carefully of every single piece of the kitchen supplies before we used them to cook. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and the wall was paper thin. We could hear our neighbour walking, talking even snoring and they did not yell or anything. They just talked in their normal volume. We also found two mice running happily in our living area. When chased, one escaped to the suite next door. One hid under the fridge. We were very concerned and worried so that we had to use towels to trap the mouse under the fridge over night. The next morning when I called this Lady who called herself Lonnie, she said the best she could offer me was to putt a mouse trap in our room. She refused to open another suite for us or refund us the night that we did not stay. She also shouted at me on the phone and told me to be quiet on the phone. We left this filthy place first thing in the morning. I hope the traveler's kids next door did not crawl or lie on the floors after seeing those mice running around like crazy. It is an honest review of what happened and I am sure this so called Lonnie will reply to this review using her old tricks she used against other reviewers on this website, such as "I gave you a full refund" or "I do not recognize your name. Who are you" or "The guest was not respectfully and they left so much garbage behind." and so so. I am not going to reply to her reply as she is not worth one second of my life to deal with. I am only writing this to give the viewers a warning and I hope this review helps you avoid this place during your trip to Cape Breton because Cape Breton is so nice and beautiful and it is a shame that this place is in it. (There is nothing wrong with the land, it is the owner that is the problem.) Oh the WIFI did not work at all. Don't count on it.
