Flemings Selection Hotel Wien-City

We had a great stay at this hotel and a good night's rest each evening. The hotel is located near the Town Hall which was a quiet area near the end of October but there was quite a bit of construction in the area. The location of the hotel was pretty good and there were some restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. The Town Hall, Hofburg Palace, Parliament Building, and Volksgarten were very close to the hotel. We had tram and metro access just a little bit down the road at the Rathaus station but believe the construction made it somewhat tricky to navigate to get to the right platform. The hotel room was interesting. The toilet was enclosed but the glass shower stall was right in the middle of the room. This was ok for us because we are married but you may want to look at the room styles or be comfortable with a friend before booking. The bed was very comfy and the room was well equipped with a large TV, coffee/tea station with a Nespresso machine and a kettle, mini fridge, desk area and plenty of storage. The shower was good but we had difficulties getting hand soap and the right shower products and had to make two requests. When we inquired about the hand soap the lady at the front desk was abrupt in stating that housekeeping was every two days...but we were persistent because we like clean hands. We even got a nice view. There is a restaurant on site that offers breakfast but we felt it was overpriced. We enjoyed baked goods from a bakery nearby. The hotel has quick access to the airport via the purple line and S7 train and we were able to quickly get to major sites around Vienna like Schonbrunn Palace and Karlsplatz easily using the metro. We booked a tour to go out of town and there was a good spot for pickup for the van. This was a good and relaxing stay for us and we thought it was the perfect base for our itinerary while exploring Vienna.

An excellent hotel with friendly staff and nice rooms. Ideally located for nearby sightseeing

Before the trip, I had wrote to the official email for various times, but I didnt receive any responses at all. The hotel is simple and bare minimum, They don't even top up daily water at all after cleaning the room, maybe had to request, but no information was given. And the phone is not working, no way to call the receptionist. They are able to help to call a taxi and within a few mins, we got the taxi. We also can sit inside the lobby to wait for our taxi, that's plus point. In general, it's not a value for money hotel but the location is not too bad, near the Rathaus Christmas Market.

I strongly recommend The Flemings Hotel for visiting Vienna. It is located right next to a tramway station that will take you to central areas in the city. The room was very spacious clean and calm.

Good location and cocktails. Comfortable beds. Unfortunately our iron leaked and our fridge was broken as it failed to keep things cool. Staff seemed a bit casual about sorting out the problem when we raised it. We did get drinks vouchers for our inconvenience.
