Hotel Corvinus Vienna - Newly Renovated

Hotel runned by Family. Very accommodating reception and located right in the city shopping district. Very Close to public transport. Despite the hotel name i will highly reco this place, very modern victorian feel

The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to all our needs. That included round trip to the Airport dining suggestions and a great breakfast. Thank you.

This is a lovely hotel with a wonderful, helpful staff. The location is excellent for getting around the city on public transportation. The major drawback is the lack of air conditioning….not because of the heat, which wasn’t bad in early September, but because of the noise from the street. There is no vehicular noise, but the area around the hotel is a gathering place for noisy people who seem to stay up all night, and with windows open for ventilation, it is impossible to ignore them. I would go back there in a heartbeat if it were easier to sleep there. The secondary drawback is the expensive—18 euro—breakfast, which is very modest. More about the location—it is on a major shopping street, with many bars and restaurants.

Very Friendly staff, I think we made new friends. If we get back to Vienna we would definitely stay there. So handy, on main shopping street , at the end of which you can get the hop on hop off bus. So nice to be greated with a complimentary drink. Room Comfortable.

Let's break down my experience into two parts. First part is the utter lack of customer service presented by the hotel manager and the second part will be the room/hotel itself. I showed up on a Thursday night with my two teenagers for a 3 night stay. The manager asked why we had two rooms. I let him know we only had one room and showed him my printed reservation. He said that there were two reservations and that I had made a mistake and must pay for both rooms. He literally said it just like that. I explained that it must be a mistake, I never received an email confirmation of any kind so would have had no way of knowing that the website had booked two reservations. He said it was my fault and that I must have deleted the emails. Since I was in a foreign country and wanted to move past the mixup, I offered to pay the first night and asked him to rent out the room for the next two nights. Given it was a weekend in Vienna and that his hotel was sold out, I thought that was a good compromise. He agreed. Well, the short story is he rented the room out for Friday and Saturday at 40% of what I paid and said I would have to pay the difference plus the entire first night. We had a lively conversation about his lack of customer service, his unwillingness to compromise in any way, and his desire to blame me for the mistake. After about 15 minutes of this, he said that if I didn't pay this amount he would charge me for the full reservation cost of all 3 nights. Needless to say, it was a ridiculous interaction and horrible. So if you choose to stay at this hotel, just know that any mix up (your fault or not) will be blamed on you. As far as the hotel. The only thing going for it is it's location. Right on the main shopping street. The rooms are insanely small, even by European standards, the bathroom is about 6ft x 4ft, and the decor is old. It really is a 2-3 start hotel at best. Also, I booked my room in advance directly on the hotel website and the cost appears to have been considerably more than what you could reserve via Kayak or TripAdvisor, etc. So in conclusion the manager was terrible, deceptive, greedy, inflexible, and lacking integrity. The hotel itself was okay with it's primary benefit being it's location. Good Luck!

A small and very cute hotel. Located on the main avenue in Vienna. A clean hotel with clean and tidy rooms. Everything we ordered we got: another pillow, a kettle to boil water. Very polite and kind people. The hotel is on the main avenue but really quiet. There is no noise and there are many shops on the boulevard.
