Vienna Sporthotel Reviews

Booked this hotel for 2 nights in Vienna. Location wise, it's not the most convenient. It is not within walking distance to either the main train station or the city center. The closest metro station is about a 5-7 minutes walk. It is predominantly a residential area but there are some good and cheap eateries near the metro station. The hotel is part of a sports club (hence the name Sportshotel). There is a restaurant in the hotel which serves great food at reasonable price. The hotel also has a sauna which is free for guests of the hotel to use but I haven't tried it. The room itself is quite spacious with the usual amenities minus a kettle (so can't make coffee or tea in your room)! Not sure whether this is typical for all hotels but other hotels I've stayed in neighboring countries all have kettle. It is very clean with daily cleaning. It has a big window which gets quite a bit of sunlight and a safe to store valuables.

Passing by Vienna, I randomly booked a hotel, mainly for the fitness equipment and swimming pool. The hotel swimming pool (outdoor) was quite amazing, it was a full stainless steel pool, the first time I have ever seen it, so I swam once in the evening and once in the morning, it was cool. There is also a sauna next to the pool, but I didn't have time to experience it. The breakfast was also good, the only thing I felt was that the bed was a little soft and the room was a little old, but it was clean. The hotel is very close to the subway station, a 5-minute walk, so it is worth coming back next time. Highly recommended to guests who like swimming.

I went back again before my flight home! As expected, the hotel staff were very friendly and the facilities were excellent, so it was very comfortable! Also, for dinner and lunch, I ate at the restaurant in the hotel, and the desserts and pizza were very delicious!

The room facilities are outdated, the breakfast is too small, it is a sports club with many people coming, and parking is on the roadside.

Nice hotel, convenient and clean

我喜歡這個酒店，雖然距離市區遠了點，早餐沒有那麼豐富外和不提供飲用水外，房間和入住體驗都非常棒，還是很可以的，推薦的！

這個酒店很大，擁有完善的設施，有很多運動設備可以玩，適合運動愛好者入住，而且洗手間和浴室是分開的，方便使用。

A hotel caters to our need. Everything good except no kettle in e room, have to get hot drinkable water from coffee house

nice place but overrated. the structure inside is very old therefore for price of a night is exaggerated compared to the quality of the structure

Great two days stay. And the hotel had everything I needed for a relaxing waiting period for my flight. Service is very friendly and the place is clean. Walked and trained in just my white socks (training shoes at home) and they hardly got any dirty after 1h. Only I missed some more leg training machines. But with the weights that are there you can do everything. Pool is also very nice. Not much chemicals in the water, my eyes easily get red by normal pools. But not here. Look forward to my next visit.

Vienna Sporthotel is located at 0.4km distance of metro station Erdberg. Built in 2002 the hotel offers 79 rooms, a bar & restaurant, a gym & pool. Furnishings and decoration provide an outdated atmosphere. The hotel is popular with lowbudget bus-tourist groups. Service is OK. We asked for a quiet room and got a single room at floor 2, backside. Our adequately furnished room had desk & chair, TV, wardrobe, and an acceptable single-bed. We had a small bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower. Window can be opened but don’t have mosquito screens. Good Wi-Fi. All was clean. An average buffet breakfast is served. Vienna Sporthotel is an overpriced big-city sleeping factory. Elsewhere in Vienna you have better options.
