I was so looking forward to this hotel, but was deeply disappointed. They have no telephones in the room, but network coverage is bad so it’s difficult to speak to staff. No room service is offered, although you’re allowed to take out food from the restaurant; shame the restaurant denied me to order because they were busy. The room itself is pleasant enough but on the small side. Location is OK

If I could give 6 stars I would. The hotel has a Parisian vibe both outside and in the interior decor. I stayed in a beautifully appointed Petit room which was the perfect size for a solo traveller but I think it would be too small for a couple. The hotel is on top of a U-bahn station which makes travelling to other parts of the city a breeze and it’s located near Mariahilferstrasse - a main shopping precinct

Absolutely beautiful hotel, our deluxe room was stylish, roomy and very comfortable. All the staff were wonderful. Food in chez Bernard was very good and the restaurant and roof top bar are very elegant. Great location next to the underground and a pleasant 15 min walk into the museum quarter. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Vienna and this hotel was the icing on the cake!

Excellent place. Loved the location and loved my room! The hotel is easily accessible to the nearby train station. Walkable to shopping areas, restaurants and museums. Highly recommend.

From the gin and tonic on arrival to the gorgeous decor of our room, the hotel Motto was just superb. The staff are very friendly and really helpful. We booked a junior suite: it was very spacious and so stylishly appointed. We even had a balcony. The double glazing meant the room was completely quite despite the hotel being in a lively area. The hotel is literally right next to a metro station but if you don't mind a 20 minute walk you can reach many of Vienna's main attractions on foot. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants in the streets surrounding the hotel. The Motto also has its own restaurant, Chez Bernard. We had dinner there on a Saturday night and the food and service were excellent. It's very lively so perhaps not the spot for an intimate dinner, but we loved it. I strongly recommend the Hotel Motto and will definitely stay there again.

There is a reason this hotel is rated #1 on trip advisor for special hotels in Vienna. We first heard about this new hotel in Travel & Leisure Magazine recommending new hotels that won't break the bank! The 4 of us booked 2 deluxe rooms overlooking Mariahilfer Strasse. We arrived and were greeted by Sandra who checked us in. It was raining upon arrival and we had just come in via the train around noon and Sandra was able to arrange an early check in for us in 2 connecting rooms. After checking us in she offered us each a glass of champagne and then sat down with us in the lobby and explained everything about the hotel and the area and how to get around. What was a real surprise to us is how close the subway station is. You literally walk out the door, turn right, walk 10 steps and you are at the subway. You cannot ask for a better location in Vienna just outside of the Ringstrasse. The restaurant on the top floor is fabulous and we ate there 2 evenings. It's the hopping place in Vienna -and has a great bar and dining scene. Make sure to get reservations. We would definitely stay here our next time in Vienna and will recommend it to all of our friends. Thank you Hotel Motto and Sandra!
