I booked this hotel based on the glowing reviews on tripadvisor. The trip was the celebrate my mum's 'important' birthday, and I wanted to find somewhere really special to stay. From email enquiries, to the moment we left, Hotel Sans Souci Vienna exceeded our expectations. The hotel arranged a private transfer directly to the hotel, and our room was ready even though we were early in the morning. We were offered a complimentary drink, before being shown to our room. The room was spotlessly clean and very large. The beds are super comfortable. It would have been nice to have a bath in the room as we had a busy sightseeing trip, but I hadn't asked for this so it wasn't an issue at all. The steam rooms, sauna and pool were absolutely brilliant, so bath not needed in the end for aching leg muscles! Complimentary coffee is served to your room free of charge if you call house keeping. This was a special touch and very welcome as we arrived back at the room after a day sightseeing. The concierge team were really helpful for any questions we had. The breakfast team were very friendly, and arranged a complimentary sacher torte on my mum's birthday day. We had champagne 2 of the 3 breakfast days we stayed at the hotel. This is complimentary, but you have to ask (we didn't on the first morning, but did thereafter once double checking at reception). The breakfast itself was excellent, and we were not hurried and could help ourselves to both the cooked and buffet breakfast (we had a big breakfast so we could skip lunch and see more art instead!) There was some building work to the restaurant during our stay, so the breakfast was split over 2 different rooms. The service was slightly chaotic due to the staff having to split their time over the two rooms, but they were so friendly, there was no issue and we had a lovely time. The spa was really lovely, long opening hours and very tidy/well-attended by the spa staff. Plenty of towels and toiletries to use. The pool was a real highlight to my evenings. Although i feel the other guests used it for a light dip rather than a proper swim as I did (although I tried to time my swim just before closing time so not to ruin others leisure time!). 2 different heated saunas and 1 small steam room in the spa. I didn't use the gym, but the equipment looked high specification. The hotel location is fabulous for museums and galleries. We even walked from the Belvedere gallery back to the hotel, although everything else was much closer. There is a spar mini market next door for food and supplies. There are lots of small restaurants if you turn right out of the hotel, including a delicious burger restaurant. Overall, I am absolutely delighted to have chosen to stay at this hotel. I think probably the best I have stayed at, and I would love to visit again and bring my husband to vienna. The hotel arranged for a private transfer back to the airport at very short notice on our leaving day too (we were due to use the
