Vienna is our favorite city in the world. We have been here a dozen times, and have stayed at The Bristol, The Imperial, and The Sacher, all world-class and marvelous, but after we discovered the König von Ungarn we now always stay there. We love the low-key nature of the hotel. The guest rooms are spacious and the Atrium lounge is a marvelous place to be after a busy day wandering around in this absolutely marvelous city . Plus, you won't need a second mortgage to be able to afford a room there. Vienna is a marvelous walking city. One can traverse the entire Alte Stadt (the old city) on foot in less than half an hour, so the hotel being being smack-dab in the middle is glorious. The hotel is ideally situated, just a half-block from the Cathedral on the Stephensplatz and the prime shopping streets, the Kärrntnerstrasse and The Graben. Of particular note is that the hotel occupies the same building as Mozart's famous flat, entrance at Domgasse 5, where he composed "The Marriage of Figaro". Everything seems to make sense in Vienna. No wonder The Economist has ranked Vienna the most livable city in the world in four of the last 5 years.
