The hotel is very conveniently located in the more bustling parts of Vientiane (the riverside, night markets, and some major temples and museums). Service and staff are generally good and receptive to customers' complaints and requests, as much as they could within the limited facilities. The rooms and yards are decently clean, but one should not expect sparking clean comparable to 3+ star hotels. The pool is quite small but much-appreciated in Vientiane's scorching weather - given the budget price, it's quite good.
One thing that really brought what would otherwise a good experience down is that the room where I stayed (109) had horrendous wifi reception and signal and intolerable mosquito swarm. Could not sleep one night and had to upgrade to a better room on the 2nd floor, which was not a major upgrade but makes it adequate enough to stay in for 2 more nights. It maybe due to the room being tucked away in a corner and thus blocked away from reception. Otherwise, a decent cheap option.
