I spent 8 excellent days at this lodge. First of all, I have to highlight the dedication, friendliness and availability of all the staff, from the person in charge to the cleaning staff, top notch!!! The location 4 steps from the beach, the beauty of this bay, which is very large for strolling, and the blue sea is transparent, there are no words to describe. The hotel gardens are always clean and cared for with lush vegetation and are spectacular. The swimming pool above the sea is large and always clean and well looked after. I used the restaurant every day and the food was of good quality and at acceptable prices. I hope one day to return. The only thing I didn't like, I felt cheated, was a tour I took at bazaruto hired from an agency that is advertised at the lodge. Although it is not the lodge's responsibility! Unfriendly staff, everything was in a hurry and in a hurry, just climbing a dune in 30m and nothing else. It was well worth these 8 days in Vilanculos

Lovely oceanfront resort.We had a spacious comfortable, well-appointed chalet. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Housekeeping exceptional. Breakfasts were very good with buffet and varied hot entrees as options. Despite damage to the beach area wrought by a cyclone in March , the Beach Lodge appears to have recovered well and remains a comfortable luxurious option for a stay in Vilanculos

Our experience here was delightful. The resort is stunning, and the hospitality was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and the attentive staff made our stay truly memorable. The stunning swimming pool overlooking the sea added to the beauty of the place, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The resort's beautiful surroundings made our short stay a fantastic experience.

The hotel manager is amazing and friendly and so was the staff. We went to Mozambique for the horse safari and added this hotel for our last couple of days. Food was fantastic. Would recommend!

We came here on our honeymoon and was a lovely place to stay. It's really quiet with not much to do and not many other restaurants etc near by but the food in the hotel is lovely and there is lots of choice. As a majority good service and friendly staff.
Bar does close at 9:30pm which seemed quite early. Breakfast was nice but I recommend not leaving it last minute as often things like croissants didn’t get replenished.
Overall a lovely trip and a great hotel. Good choice!

We went to Vilanculos Beach Lodge on two occassions to have drinks and a meal (we did not stay at the lodge, but were day visitors). The food and drinks were delicious. It is a stunning setting overlooking the immaculate garden, pool and beach. On the second occasion, however, the staff were quite rude when we had not made a reservation and reluctantly gave us one of many open tables. It was, however, a stunning meal with live music.
