Booked Christmas lunch for the team at the beginning on November. We were put in the bar and not the restaurant. Service was very slow and we had to keep going to find someone. At one stage we were told that they were too busy to serve us at the table and we had to go to the bar to get more drinks. No Christmas crackers or festive atmosphere. No pigs in blankets with the meal you have to buy them separately. We were told you get two to a portion for about £4 so ordered three portions to end up with 15. They forgot one of the orders which didn’t arrive until half way through lunch. Nice turkey but the sprouts and potatoes were not fresh. To end it all the bill was wrong and the service so slow we had to pay for additional parking.

Great staff
I stayed in this hotel due to its proximity to the park. Sadly it was closed most of the time due to high winds, but I had a nice stay nevertheless.
The staff are what makes the hotel - nothing is too.much trouble & they are super friendly. Recommended!

One night stay Ascot week
Beautiful pub hotel, very impressed with room and hotel in general though it was expensive. Negatives were lack of air con in room and brunch was terrible but I was so hungry I ate it!

Wouldn’t recommend
Check in one hour early so that was good … needs updating bathrooms tiles all mildew did not want to use it … no food after 11 am …. We returned from a wedding at 9.30 pm could not even get a sandwich it’s ment to be a hotel .., would not recommend

Quick stay
Great location and while room could do with a refresh it was all great - good size, comfortable and everything you’d want.
Staff were great too. Welcoming, helpful and smiling.

Very pleasant facility
All very nice except with the hot/humid weather, some form of aircon would be an advantage. There was a fan but it just moved the hot/humid air around making it feel worse

Bad hotel!
This hotel is tired and in need of desperate upgrade.
The decor is out of the 90s and there is a unique scent throughout.
We were given a room on the first floor next to a pair of external air handling ducts that started operating at 4am and with the poor state of the windows the sound easily travelled into the room.
Furthermore there was a door on the ground floor that could be heard closing with a loud thud from our roomvwhich also started early morning.
When these points were mentioned at checkout there was very little empathy and zero effort to make any adjustments, which is a key part of the hospitality industry.
Overall the stay was shocking and not one to be repeated.
