Have visited The Wheatsheaf for over 50 years . Arranged to meet some friends for dinner on Monday evening . Not a good experience , started off with flat cloudy Beer. Had main courses which arrived ok , but very expensive dressed up Hunters chicken , very average and overpriced . Experience took a turn for the worse , we ordered a couple of Desserts and some more drinks . My partner's wine came the wrong colour ie white instead of Rose , and the beer came in pints instead of halves as ordered . Staff become very slow , when we were thinking of leaving I had to go to the bar and request the Bill. Staff still slow and unresponsive , could not operate the card machine . Overall very poor impression of newly fitted premises , overcharging and inadequate staff obviously poorly trained . Management need to get a grip !
