What a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani! We stayed for 6 nights in a Signature Oceanview Suite, and it was magnificent. The room was newly renovated and modern in design. The bathroom was really large and had lots of amenities and extra touches. The lanai provided a great view of the sea, sunsets, and some color at sunrise. The housekeeping staff were amazing. The breakfast buffet was a highlight! There were lots of traditional offerings as well as caprese, upcountry greens, steak/onions, asparagus, poke, noodles, fried rice, etc. The service was great every day--.as an iced tea drinker, them providing a carafe at the table was so appreciated. We spent time at the adult pool and in chairs on the lawn. The chairs by the adult pool were a bit too close together for our liking-- we would have spent more time there if we had a bit more room. We also thought the chairs around the adult pool weren't as nice as the family pools, which was odd. The lawn chairs were basic lounge chairs and could use an upgrade as well. We were surprised and a bit disappointed that pool food/drink service didn't start until 11am. The lunch offerings around the pool were underwhelming but we found more options in the market so didn't have to go far. We walked the beach front trail every morning and loved that access! We spent a little time at the beach and it was nice. The water stations everywhere on people were amazing, always full and so appreciated! The courtesy car was amazing as we took it several times. We used valet parking and had amazing service. I mean, when you are already paying this much for a hotel, the $40 extra per night isn't worth fussing over and finding a space in self park seemed a bit difficult when we drove through the lot. We ate at the lobby bar/restaurant for a late afternoon snack, and it has a great view. We aren't sushi fans and wished the menu was a bit broader. Sushi-forward is one thing, but a hotel lobby bar shouldn't be pretty much exclusively sushi menu in order to appeal to the majority of people.
