"The hotel's location is pretty good; it was a 30-minute drive from the airport car rental pick-up. From the hotel, it's just a 5-minute drive to a small beach perfect for snorkeling and to a nearby shopping center (with stores like LV, YSL, Lulu, and a large supermarket). The hotel's facilities are relatively new, and it's situated on a hillside with a small infinity pool offering views of the ocean and mountains across the way. Regarding service, there wasn't anything particularly outstanding; the room cleaning was just so-so, and the breakfast selection was quite limited. I'm not sure if freshwater is scarce on Maui, but the water pressure from the sink faucet was extremely low, and the shower head was just barely adequate. It took a long time to rinse off the sand from our swimwear after coming back from the beach. Both rooms we booked had this issue, which is a stark contrast to hotels back home, where even a budget chain like All Seasons offers strong water pressure for a refreshing experience."

"I chose this Marriott-owned apartment because I wanted to play at the nearby Wailea Tennis Club. It was fully equipped, clean, and the service was excellent. The shuttle service was free and took me to the mall and supermarket, which was very convenient. They can also drop me off at other nearby hotels. I booked a Grand Wailea spa treatment, and the shuttle bus took me there in just a few minutes. It's only a five-minute walk to the tennis club. Maui is so comfortable; it was my favorite island on this trip."

"My stay at the Andaz Maui was overall very pleasant. Check in was smooth and welcoming, with the ladies receiving fresh flowers and the men brown beads, which made for a warm first impression. The staff also offered special lemonade at check in, and it was honestly one of the most delicious drinks I had on the trip. I’d recommend upgrading to a room with an ocean view, as it really makes a big difference. The non-ocean view room felt a bit dark, while the ocean view room was bright and relaxing. The hotel itself is a nice size, and the beds were soft and very comfortable for sleeping. The amenities were definitely the highlight. The beach was just steps away, complimentary sunscreen was provided, and there were multiple pools with incredible views of the ocean. There were a few downsides though. There was a miscommunication with my request to have the room cleaned. The room did end up nicely cleaned, but I had a slight argument with staff over it, which is not something I’d expect at a 5 star property. The hair dryer could also be upgraded since it’s not Dyson, especially given the nightly rate. Parking was another drawback, as it’s valet only and quite expensive with no self-parking option. Even with those small issues, the Andaz offers beautiful views, thoughtful touches, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes it a memorable place to stay."

"Good location but lacks some privacy The hotel is in a great spot — right on the beach with beautiful ocean views just steps away. Perfect base for exploring South Maui and chilling at Keawakapu Beach. However, the room was a bit smaller than expected, and the biggest downside was the huge glass window facing the hallway — everyone walking by could see straight inside unless we kept the curtains closed all the time. Felt a bit awkward. Overall still a decent stay because of the location and beach access, but definitely could use some improvements in room layout and privacy."
