I was visiting my son in Wakayama following a tour of Japan. This hotel is close to station & a shopping mall. It has complimentary breakfast & a nice Library Cafe where you can chill whilst enjoying a coffee or tea. The rooms are a good size compared to other hotels that I stayed in whilst touring. Staff were helpful & friendly. I would recommend this hotel & will use again.

Cheap small hotel, typical Japanese small room of 13 square meters
It's still ok if you don't have too high expectations
Overall it's clean and tidy. The free buffet for breakfast is a plus.
The hotel location is less than 200 meters away from Wakayama Station and within walking distance.
But
There are several other affordable hotels of the same type closer to the station.
If you have a lot of luggage, you can consider it.
