Daiwa Roynet Hotel Wakayama ★★★★
"The hotel was a bit hard to find, located on the back of the street. The check-in counter is on the fifth floor. Checking out, however, was very convenient."
The S3 Wakayama Eki ★★
"This was my first time staying at a capsule hotel, and I was satisfied because it was clean and comfortable. However, I had to endure the noise around me and wear earplugs ^^;;"
Hotel Granvia Wakayama ★★★★
"Fantastic location! Right out of the station on the right-hand side, connected to a shopping mall, so you barely get wet when it rains going to the station. The room was a little on the small side, but the amenities were pretty good."
Dormy Inn Premium Wakayama Natural Hot Spring ★★★★
"The hotel is quite close to Wakayama Station. After exiting the station, it's just a few minutes' walk straight ahead, past two traffic lights. The room size is moderate, typical for Dormy Inn hotels. The public bath is nice, and the breakfast, featuring local specialties, is quite tasty. I've always been a fan of Dormy Inn, with their hot springs and good breakfast."
Candeo Hotels Nankai Wakayama ★★★★
"1)Location is very excellent and wonderful panorama view from dining lobby (also same view from spa area at top floor) 2)I must express thank you to hotel staff Kana. I didn't meet him or her during our stay but, during email communication before our arrival regarding extended luggage storage request, we do feel that he or she really treat customer in the highest position per their needs and make us very pleased to consider visit this hotel every time when visit there. It was some contrast by comparing our check-out. I do understand our request was not usual but it should not simply refuse us with model answer. It made us has very different impression. Anyway, she finally helped us to find comprised solution. Not bad!"
Comfort Hotel Wakayama ★★★
"On my second night, I discovered the soundproofing was terrible. There was a bunch of 'monsters' in the room next door – it sounded like people from several rooms had gathered, chatting loudly, opening and closing doors constantly, and laughing and shouting hysterically. This went on for a long time. By past midnight, I couldn't take it anymore and went down to the front desk. I was worried there wouldn't be anyone at the front desk, but there were two gentlemen on duty. They told me a sports team had checked in that day and were probably just overexcited. I told them they either needed to talk to them or I'd have to change rooms. The front desk staff went up and knocked on their door, greeting the group (signaling me to go back to my room first). Not long after, the group finally dispersed. The hotel service was still very good. Running into those ******* was just bad luck for me. Next time I encounter a similar unexpected situation, I definitely shouldn't think, 'I'll just bear it, maybe they'll finish soon.' I should go down immediately and seek help from the front desk. I'm curious, which country do those selfish, loud people who disturb others in the middle of the night come from? The hotel breakfast is complimentary and included by default with the room booking. Although simple, it's completely filling. The restaurant is also open during the day for relaxation and offers free drinks."
Smile Hotel Wakayama ★★★
"If you plan to travel to Wakayama and mainly not staying inside the hotel room or mainly spend time outside, yes, it should be fine. The hotel is so old and because of that it looks dirty. Dust and mold everywhere 🤣 I stayed during Golden week in Japan which most hotels were so expensive and choose this one as it was the least expensive, it was around 13,000 per night. Overall OK, but yes, we didnt want to stay inside the room as it’s old. So if you plan to stay 1 day or you do not mind with dust and mold, it could be OK. I think regular hotel fee outside of golden week is 4-5K yen, which is make sense with this quality. Recommend only for budget travelers."
Wakayama Kada Onsen Kada Kaigetsu ★★★
"Lovely traditional Japanese Hotel in Kada. Room with great seaview and dinner served at room also very delicious."
Wakayama Marina City Hotel ★★★★
"The location is excellent. The view from the window is truly wonderful, and the amenities are satisfactory. The area near the hotel is suitable for walks. Things I noticed...the facilities are a bit old. The air conditioning is analog, and you can't stop the shower, so once you turn off the hot water, you have to adjust the hot and cold water again. The refrigerator doesn't cool properly and the temperature can't be adjusted... However, if you're going to Marina City or Kuroshio Market, I would definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast is 3000 yen. All-you-can-eat tuna rice bowl! The Kuroshio Market buffet is also 3000 yen and offers all-you-can-eat tuna. It's a tough choice..."

Kanatanosato
"The facilities and staff were very satisfied! I want to go again! It was a very good time to spend slowly."
Wakayama Urban Hotel
"The front desk staff were unfriendly. Although it was a room on the top floor, the room was unnecessarily large, and the bed was rather small."
Wakayama Green Hotel
"The room was spacious and comfortable, and I have no complaints whatsoever. It was incredibly cheap, and I would definitely like to stay here again when I come to Wakayama."
Wakanoura Nature Resort Epicharis
"It was a great service, location, and facilities for the price. It was spacious enough for a family of four to relax comfortably. Because it is located right in front of the beach, the sound of the waves, the sound of the wind, and the ocean view were the best throughout my stay at the hotel!! It is close to downtown Osaka and the amusement parks such as Marina City. I went fishing on the beach right in front and caught 4 red sea cucumbers. The breakfast was also clean and delicious. I think I will use it often."
Atarashiya
"A very Japanese-style hotel, offering a taste of Japanese culture, Japanese cuisine, hot springs, and tatami room accommodations. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had windows overlooking the sea – truly scenic rooms. The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind; they even helped us with our luggage to the station. Special praise goes to the breakfast and dinner – the elderly lady who prepared our meals was exquisite, and the food was authentically Japanese. We tried everything from natto and tofu to hot pot, oden, and sashimi – all fresh and delicious. Our first stop in Osaka was Wakayama, a perfect experience!"
Futagojimasou
"It's quiet, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, the hot springs are nice, there's a shuttle bus, everything is good, but there are no convenience stores or shops, only ryokans. There are a lot of places to take pictures."
Manpa Resort
"We absolutely cannot contain our elation when recalling our recent stay at this remarkable hotel. From the moment we stepped into the elevator adorned with personalized name cards, my husband and I were enveloped in the warm embrace of hospitality. The attention to detail and the genuine kindness of the staff made us feel like VIP guests. They also thoughtfully provided a bucket for us to indulge in the glowing enchantment of firecrackers and even tidied the mess up afterwards. But the best memory of our stay here was definitely the culinary experience given by the chef extraordinaire — Master Chef Matsuki. His creations were nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. Each dish was a testament to his unwavering dedication and profound respect for the ingredients. Oh, the flavors — titillating all our taste buds in every bite. And the generosity of Chef Matsuki in sharing his culinary wisdom, guiding us on how to savor each morsel, elevated the entire dining experience to sheer perfection. The language barrier was no obstacle to the remarkable team of staff members who graced us with their presence. Their command of the English language was commendable, and even those who were not entirely fluent went above and beyond to cater to our every whim and need. Their genuine desire to assist us was palpable, leaving us feeling truly valued and cared for. I am already making plans to return with my beloved family, as I know they too deserve to bask in the unparalleled warmth and luxury that this establishment exudes. This hotel has set the bar impossibly high, redefining the meaning of hospitality and creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. So if you seek a hotel experience that transcends mere accommodation and transforms into a symphony of opulence, impeccable service, and culinary artistry, then look no further. This is the epitome of hospitality, a sanctuary where dreams come true, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who craves an unforgettable journey of indulgence and delight."
Isaribi-no-Yado Seaside Kancho
"First time booking, so I can only give a brief review. It's a traditional Japanese inn with an elevator, but you need to climb stairs to the second floor. If you have mobility issues, you'll need to book your room in advance with the inn. The hotel has a sea view and a hot spring. It's located in the mountains, which is a bit inconvenient, but it's best to drive there."
Kimiidera Onsen Hana No Yu Garden Hotel Hayashi
"The cheapest option was a one-night stay with two meals. The hot spring hotel had old-fashioned management, but the overall facilities were acceptable. There were two separate hot springs for men and women, supposedly with natural water quality. Food portions were sufficient; different food options were offered for both nights, but the taste was average."
Osakaya Hiina No yu Hotel
"Friendly, warm and comfortable accommodation"
Shinwaka Lodge
"I stayed here while I was in town to buy peaches from Arakawa. The lack of a toilet and sink in the room was a bit inconvenient, but I was satisfied with the food and the hot springs."
Hanayama Onsen Yakushinoyu
"I stayed in July 2026. Kayama Onsen is impressive enough just for the power of brown water and precipitates covering the bathtub, but as a hot spring lover, I would like you to pay attention to "hot spring use" and take a bath. The source is a high-strength hot spring called 25.2℃, dissolved substance 17, 120mg/kg, and is a very individual source, including free carbon dioxide 2, 631mg/kg and iron 50.0mg/kg. What impressed me especially was not only displaying the numerical value of the source analysis book, but also investigating how much free carbon dioxide remains in the actual bathtub, unheated source bathtub 1, 100mg/kg, heated bathtub 1, 000mg/kg, It is open to the public as a large communal bath 500mg/kg. The "source" described in the hot spring analysis book and the "bath bath water" we actually enter are not always in the same state. I liked the attitude of trying to show the user to the difference. In the source bathtub, the source is injected from underwater to minimize oxidation such as iron as much as possible. The heated bathtub is also a heat exchange method instead of heating the source itself with a boiler. You can feel the ingenuity of delivering the source to the bathtub without damaging the individuality of this source, including carbon dioxide and iron. And if possible, I recommend staying instead of day trip. Around 5:30 am when guests can take a bath, in the source bathtub with few bathers, the relatively transparent source introduced from underwater changes to yellowish brown and brown with the passage of time. You can see did. In the open-air bath that was kept quiet at night, I was able to experience the best experience in the morning, taking a bath while breaking the calcium-derived film formed on the surface of the hot water. This is a figure of Hanayama Onsen, which is quite different from the crowded daytime. On the other hand, I would like to note that it is "crowded". It is a popular facility with many local regular customers, and the source bathtub during the day may be quite crowded. Some people used the vicinity of the source input section for a long time. If you come to Kayama Onsen, I would like you to stay and experience the best hot water in the morning before you can evaluate it without taking a bath only during the crowded time zone. It is also a fairly thick and high-strength hot spring. I think it is better to protect the bathing time guided by the facility and enjoy it while taking a break and hydrating without taking a long bath. For the meal, I had a Kumano beef sukiyaki course. The meat and vegetables are quite voluminous, so if you are a snack, you should check the amount when choosing a plan. On the other hand, I felt the chef's ingenuity in the small bowls. Breakfast was also lined up with Wakayama-like things such as Kanayamaji miso, new ginger, and tea porridge, and I enjoyed it as an accommodation trip. This time, I was grateful for the accommodation privilege of the pure hot spring supporters club. It's not that I recommend it because there was a discount. Rather, by staying at the hotel, I was able to see the change of the source of Kayama Onsen that I didn't notice only by day trip bathing and the ingenuity of using the hot water on the facility side. For unused members, I would like you to observe the differences between each bathtub and the change of hot water depending on the time of day, not only the first impression of "dark hot spring" that has become brown with precipitates. If possible, stay and go first in the morning. I think it's time to understand the fun of Kayama Onsen."
Wakayama Daini Fuji Hotel
"Thank you very much 😊 I appreciate you letting me park early 😄 Thank you for your courteous service I was able to relax in the room 😀 The bathroom curtain 🛁 was short and the outside became sticky and I was bothered by the mold everywhere I'm sorry, but! Also, at the breakfast buffet, it was a buffet, right? I was supposed to be able to eat as much as I wanted, right? They didn't replenish the food much once it ran out That was very disappointing The staff seemed eager to finish up quickly and kept staring at me while I was eating, which I really disliked! I wanted to eat slowly, but the food 🍚 was delicious It was truly disappointing I've said a lot of things, but thank you for everything Thank you very much 😊"

"Very convenient to the dining center. The room is also a large room with high cost performance and a large bathtub. But the mattress is very poor."
BK WEEKLY MANSION & HOTEL
"🌿It was a very comfortable and heartwarming stay🌿 The location is close to the station and easily accessible. I was able to relax in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The staff were very polite and kind, and I had a very pleasant time. It's a wonderful place that I would definitely like to visit again."
MISONOnoOYADO (I) #IO1
"A very comfortable hotel, with the living room and bedroom on separate floors, so they don't interfere with each other. The washing machine is very convenient, allowing me to wash my clothes anytime. It's also very close to the train station, making it convenient for commuting and shopping."
