"The hotel is located in a quiet bay in Wakayama, and it's not a popular spot for Chinese tourists. I was the only one soaking in the hot spring, which was very relaxing. There's also a park nearby where you can watch the sunset."

"First time booking, so I can only give a brief review. It's a traditional Japanese inn with an elevator, but you need to climb stairs to the second floor. If you have mobility issues, you'll need to book your room in advance with the inn. The hotel has a sea view and a hot spring. It's located in the mountains, which is a bit inconvenient, but it's best to drive there."

Osakaya Hiina No yu Hotel

"Dishonest Hotel Staff and Extremely Poor Service – Avoid at All Costs I had an unauthorized double booking through Agoda, which I only discovered upon check-in. The staff — Nguyen Van Tu and 大島 — initially promised to help cancel the duplicate booking, but once Agoda reached out, they completely denied responsibility and refused to cooperate. Their dishonesty and unprofessional behavior caused unnecessary stress and financial loss. The hotel management clearly lacks integrity, and the staff cannot be trusted. In addition, the common areas were dirty, the service was appalling, and the onsen was hugely overrated. This is one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Do not stay here — dishonest staff and zero accountability."

"The facilities were clean and tidy and the equipment was well equipped. The children were also overjoyed. But the staff was one now. The reception was not friendly, and when I was sent to the lodge by cart, I started without a signal to leave and there were children, so I felt dangerous. I was guided to the lodge again and I was returned without saying anything. The same was true at the time of payment. I also met a cleaning staff heading for the lodge in a group, but they were also walking while chatting instead of saying anything to the guests. Unlike inns and hotels, is this kind of facility like this? It was a disappointing response just because I wanted to use it again."

"Wakayama Urban Hotel is a great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk from JR Wakayama Station, with convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for luggage, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast also had a nice variety of Japanese and Western options. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for travelers who want good value, convenience, and a comfortable stay rather than a luxury experience. The hotel feels a little older in some areas, but the cleanliness, location, and service make up for it. ⭐️ 8/10"
