Upon arriving at the property, I was asked if a did a "last minute booking with a third party" to which I said yes, I booked an hour ago using *******. The staff behind the desk blamed me for last minute booking and then ******* who "always gets it wrong" to inform me that the room type I requested wasn't available and that I could downgrade bedsize for the same price or cancel my reservation (I was already out of my way to stay here). I said this isn't right, it's on Embassy to ensure their inventory stays updated and if they can't do it on third party sites, they shouldn't. I asked if he'd waive the $15 parking fee in exchange to which he said management was strict and he can't.
I rarely ever write reviews but NEVER have I seen customer service, let alone in the hospitality industry, so rude, to the point where he's raising his voice, threatening to cancel my reservation if I want to dispute getting downgraded versus keeping the same bedsize in what's considered an update.
If you see this at a good price, I'd question it before booking. If you see it at a higher price than others, I'd consider others nearby. This was truly disappointing and the owner should monitor his staff more.
