When I booked this (at the kids' request) I balked at the price of one night's stay in a tent, and a day at a castle, but having been on the trip I now consider it good value for money and would highly recommend this as top rate family fun. We stayed in a tent, which had proper beds in it and an electric light. There is no heating though so maybe take extra blankets if it's cold - we were fine though. The evening food was truly terrible, but it didn't dampen our overall enjoyment of the experience at all - there were 'knights' out doing sword fighting and archery with the kids until 8pm at night. In the morning the breakfast was much better than the dinner and we were well set up for the day. The castle itself was amazing - I recommend booking the second day reduced price entry as you'd struggle to do it all in a day.

We had a fantastic time. Our kids aged 6 and 3 loved the tent and the evening entertainment from the group of Knights. My son loved the knight school and my daughter was able to try archery with special thanks to Knight Vicky. Food was much better than I had anticipated and good options for kids. Staff were also all brilliant. I would highly recommend the knights village and we hope to stay again in the future.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Knights village at Warwick castle. It's a cool experience and is fantastic to be able to surprise the kids with a stay over and not have to go home. I've always found that the castle has more to offer than just a day's worth of time and so to know that you have 2 days to explore the castle means that you can enjoy it more by taking your time and spreading things out across both days. The positives... Everyone is super friendly. The reception team are great and very helpful. Likewise the knights and princess are brilliant, very funny and the kids loved them. They made the activities super fun. We also found the restaurant staff to be friendly too. We stayed in a tent and it was every spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable and the tents are close to the restaurant and amenities. The evening activities are good. The knights are really funny and there is archery, sword school and princess activities on offer. Our girls really enjoyed all of them. The negatives... We went to the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The breakfast was good, great options, plenty of food and all included in the price. The dinner however wasn't so great. It's a real rip off! The only option was a carvery which was a shame as when we came last time there was more variety and it was more tasty. Carvery for a medieval castle stay over just doesn't really fit for me. However the worst bit was the price. It was £25 for each adult and £15 for each child. My kids didn't have the carvery as they are only young and on their tiny plate they essentially had chicken nuggets beans and hash brown bites. For £15 each that's just crazy! Adding in drinks we spent over £100 with no proper desserts (only chocolate mousses) which is really over priced. This really needs to be looked at and we wouldn't pay this again. The other thing related to the restaurant was the theme. It's sold very much as a medieval banquet. But apart from the decor on the walls, it's nothing more than a glorified canteen. There was no atmosphere in there, not even medieval music. I felt this was pretty poor. The knights came in a few minutes before the end of our meal, it would have been great to have had entertainment from actors throughout. When you consider the price you're paying it's not too much to ask! The restaurant was practically empty and I'm guessing that people may have opted to go elsewhere which is definitely the better decision to make.   The evening entertainment is only as good as the weather allows. We had a good 1 hour of entertainment before the heavens opened. And there really isn’t much contingency then in place. You either carry on and get soaking wet or go back to your tent. We chose the latter and, whilst that was our choice, having indoor activities available would have been more preferable. We have paid for the entertainment after all so it shouldn’t be just a nice to have! At night time, the tent does get pretty cold. I know

Overall we had an amazing time. The kids thoroughly enjoyed and myself and my husband loved watching them believe they were truly now Knights and Ladies. We stayed in one of the basic tents which I would say was very comfortable, warm and welcoming. Toilets and showers were clean and water hot. The staff were helpful and the actors engaged wonderfully with the children. (1, 4 and 6). However there were a few points which at times took the shine off which was somewhat frustrating considering the cost of the stay. Thankfully we stayed 2 nights as the first was ruined somewhat by the British weather. Something which I would consider to be rather silly as we are in England where it's not out of the ordinary. A shortcut into the castle grounds is also advertised save the long walk via reception and with all the other guests however although we could see this gated path it remained closed throughout our stay. I presume due to the building works for the new hotel. We had ordered the food in the restaurant. These sorts of places are always expensive and you expect it. But there really should be a option for very young children. It was a buffet set up with a carvery at (I might have costs a little out) around 25 an adult and 14 a child. (With the option of a 5 pound dessert you know they will ask for). I can understand the adult cost and the food was nice but when you have a only just 4 year old who is going to pile their plate with a basic tomato pasta as I'm sure many of this age would I do feel like it was daylight robbery. This is really something which should be rectified. The purpose of eating there was to enjoy the atmosphere of the advertised medieval banquet style dining. But the tables were not layed out in the classic style, more like a standard canteen and there was very little medieval ambience (although the walls were well decorated). Some themed music, and more entertainment would have justified the prices somewhat perhaps. There were some very friendly knights who introduced themselves and told us what was happening that evening. Which I think just repeats each night. We stayed for two luckily but a little variety would have been a nice touch. I booked a 5pm table (leaving the castle and it's shows early) so we could take the kids to the themed dining and then the entertainment at 6. I asked for the bill twice, whilst my husband took our boy to do the sword training, the young and very friendly waitress forgot to bring it for so long that I missed the majority of watching him which I was looking forward too, a shame but one of those things. My daughter wanted to do games with the princess. However it was raining, so when we got there everyone was huddled under the few trees there were to try and not get wet. Everyone did. The princess included. When I asked about the princess entertainment she said they wasn't doing it as it was raining. I do understand however.... Surely a backup plan for poor weather should be available f

I took my son for his birthday and we stayed overnight at the knights village. The day itself in the castle was good my son enjoyed it. The knights village not so much, the price £280 for 1 nights stay for two of us and the evening meal was not included in that which for the price I thought was a bit poor. The evening meal was carvery which was £25 for a "large and £15 for a small. The large was a normal sized diner plate and my son's small was like a tea saucer which for the price was extremely annoying. The carvery itself was very poor and the gravy was like water. My son enjoyed himself but not worth the money we definitely wouldn't return

Traveling as a 7-person family from the US, we decided to stay at the Warwick Castle Knight's Village in April and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are super clean, updated and the grounds were immaculate. During our stay, we also booked the dinner and Knight experience at the on-site restaurant. The staff was super helpful (Darren especially) and great with our 5 kiddos. Darren made sure we were taken care of (w/ such a large family as well!) and our family walked away raving about the food and Knight show, which also included a Knight reading the kids a bedtime story. We cannot recommend highly enough! 5 stars

The lodges are lovely and really fitting with the experience of being in the castle and around the knights. They are in pairs (semi-detached), which means noises can be heard from neighbours. The grounds are beautiful, beds were comfortable, shower hot and powerful and WiFi signal good. Our children loved their interactions with the knights in the evening (knight school, duel and bedtime story). We found that the tables were a little cramped in the evening and, after struggling to all get our feet under the table, we weren't easily able to get up as the chairs of the people in the table behind were pressed up against ours. This only seemed to be a problem for tables on the sides, we chose a table in the middle tor breakfast to avoid this. They had ran out of fruit shoots in the evening so we had either Appletiser or refillable fizzy drinks for the children (£3.55 or £5). We didn't have dinner there due to reading reviews here, but we did have breakfast on site. We went for breakfast at 8.30am and some things were spoiled due to either hotplates or lamps - pancakes hard and croissants could be snapped. There was a good choice of cereals, hot breakfast items, toast and jams etc. We all found something good to eat. We really enjoyed the immersive experience and would stay again. The Knights Castle hotel was in construction and is due to open in July 24, we would like to try that perhaps next time we visit the castle.

We booked a woodland lodge for the family and was looking forward to having some quality time together at the lodge but it just wasn’t what we thought it would be. We often book lodges when we go away and they always have a kitchen area and space to be a family but this didn’t have any of that. We also didn’t realise it was a semi detached. When you walk through the door you are litterally in the master bedroom, there is nowhere to sit other than the bed, no fridge, no drawers, no where to store clothes except one shelf in a cupboard which isn’t suitable for a whole family. Even a book on the children’s bedroom door would be helpful but no where at all in their room to store anything at all. Everything literally has to be dumped on the master bedroom floor. No way of eating in your room/lodge because there is no where to sit and no tables etc. The restaurant is very overpriced however credit where credit is due, the entertainment was very good, the kids loved watching the knights battle and learn how to use a sword. The car park is no where near the lodges so I’d recommend taking your own trolly to take everything to your lodge. The shower was good and the staff were all very friendly and helpful so it’s a shame we felt the accommodation wasn’t what we thought it was and expensive for basically a bedroom without space to sit or be a family. The castle was fun but again expensive, 45 minute wait for chicken and chips. Loved doing the archery, kids loved the sword school and the zog attractions were great fun. The grounds in the knights village are beautiful, very tranquil in the morning and will be lovely in the summer. The wooden decking you walk on to get to your cabin is very slippery despite the strips, slipped quite a few times. It’s lovely seeing the knights walking around and they’re all great with the kids x
