"We were happy with our stay. Breakfast was good, Yvonne(?) Breakfast lady very good. Lady who checked us in and was at the bar at times was hit and miss; she could be pleasant or quite rude. Told her the chips we bought at the bar were out of date and inedible and she just brushed us off. No apology, no replacement, quite an odd response really. One night, after 10pm, there were children running up and down the corridor whilst their parents drank in the bar. May be a good idea that the doors to the corridor are closed so bar noise doesn't come through. Room was clean and had everything we needed."

"As an individual traveler, I appreciate the hotel's proximity to my office, which is only a 10-minute walk. The hotel provides excellent amenities, including a microwave and refrigerator, which is fantastic. However, I was disappointed by the limited parking, the fact that some restaurants are closed on Tuesdays, and the non-functional sockets in my room, which prevented me from using the fridge, charging my devices, and even using the kettle. On the bright side, the staff is incredibly friendly. Vikas and a kind lady whose name I didn't catch were both very helpful in resolving the socket issue."

"We booked an afternoon tea which was superb. Freshly made sandwiches and cakes and homemade scones with cream and jam. Could not manage to eat it all as we were given so much. All finished off with a lovely pot of tea each. Great selection of sandwiches. The service was top notch. One of the members of our family had the Sunday roast dinner which again was very nice and plentiful. James, the manager,makes sure everyone has a great experience and nothing is too much trouble. He is a brilliant example of what hospitality is all about chatting to all his guests with a genuine interest and obviously comes from a fine dining background. Excellent afternoon."

We were made very welcome by the lovely host, Sue, and our room was gorgeous and included both a roll top bath and a walk in shower. The bed was super comfy and the views from the bedroom over the garden and lakes was fantastic. Really lovely breakfast and they catered for vegetarians as well. Thank you Sue for making our stay special with your lovely accommodation."
