Hotels Near Stadt Park in Weinsberg

Pleasantly surprised to discover this lovely hotel in Heilbronn. Nice modern rooms. EUR12 parking per night in a covered car park. Just around the corner from the hotel is a Backstage Hermann Hardtner bakery for a quick bite. A short walk away is the Rathaus with the fabulous astronomical clock, St Killian, the Experimenta, and many restaurants. The concierge recommended we dine at the Ratskeller Der Stadt Heilbronn on our fist night - it turned out to be an excellent recommendation for regional cuisine.

If you have been to a HIEX, then you will have the same experience as anywhere else: Same design and features, same breakfast including pancakes. The hotel opened only recently and there are still hiccups and (minor) things to repair. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Location is top, next to Kilianskirche (church) and next to the pedestrian zone. You can walk from the train station to the hotel or take a bus or tram. If you have a room at the back of the hotel next to the main street and it is weekend, prepare for some noise from car posers.

I have just come from a 4 day seminar at Insel Hotel. First of all, and I think it's very important, the staff was without exception very friendly and helpful, no matter what time of day. We were 13 people and on the first day we were accommodated in an extremely small and cramped seminar room, something seems to have gone wrong in the planning. But you immediately apologized and from the afternoon remedy. We had lunch 4 times, we could choose between two dishes. There was gnocchi and fish with spinach and potatoes on two days each, I would have liked a little more imagination when planning the menu. I had a single room on the 3rd floor. The bathroom was relatively new, but the room still had the charm of the 80s. The bed sheet had some unsightly stains, when I complained about this, it was immediately remedied and new covers. On the second day the TV remote control didn't work anymore, here too the response was immediate and friendly. In fact, I was disappointed with housekeeping. In the room only my duvet was turned down and the bathroom was unfortunately not cleaned at all. The glass door might look good, but the disadvantage is that it has to be cleaned regularly and if you don't do that, well then it just looks very unclean. A definitely positive point to mention is the quality of the duvet and pillow! Simply great!!! Incredibly light and soft! I read some reviews on here that were critical of the breakfast. In my opinion, the selection wasn't overly huge, but it doesn't need to be, maybe just an additional type of cheese....it was also refilled when empty and the rolls were delicious! I'll be back in a few weeks and maybe I'll be lucky and get one of the renovated rooms.

I don't have anything against this hotel, but I advise people to not book here... of the seven hotels I made on my German tour, this was the worst thing. - The room is flat in: sticks all over the room: on the tape, the garden; gaps in the bathroom wall still visible. - Dust! Dust in the hair dryer. Even after the night's rest, there was a low dust on my bag (which I had luckily closed). The tape is regularly sucked and air-coated? A lot of dirt in the pad where the lift door opens. - Quality of breakfast is under-sized: breads have not been fresh baked (have they ever been crocant?). Charcuterie: little choice and little taste. - Staff (reception, breakfast) is educated but not enthusiastic or friendly. - Price for a single (about EUR 100)) is unheard for what you get.

The appearance and service level of the hotel is undoubtedly four-star level. The Royal Palace of Ludwigsburg is also very close. But the interior decoration of the room is similar to that of a budget chain hotel. Parking is 12 euros per night.
