I was so impressed with the reception staff, who were friendly, accommodating and professional. Claudia and Ella went out of their way to help, and did it with a smile. Claudia met us to drop off a key for the car park, which was very thoughtful as my mother can't walk far these days. Our room is lovely, so central, modern and fresh. Great to just step out the door, and be so close to the shops and other activities...its just a hop skip and a jump from the cable car. Given the 5 star treatment we've received, I would definitely stay here again, when next visiting Wellington. I will also consider booking a Quay hotel when traveling around NZ. Thanks again to Ella and Claudia!

The location is a 5-minute walk from the Prime Minister's Office. It is on a large slope. Self-driving parking uphill and starting side parking are all technical activities. The hall and room can only be said to be ok, after all, it is not a fashionable hotel, although some desks and sofas have a light luxury style (pay attention to professional habits). Breakfast order + buffet, my evaluation is only passable, fried rice is okay. I met a Taiwanese girl in the service, and she was very enthusiastic. Take the initiative to bring us water, after all, there is no water in the room. Taxi is easy to take, and many restaurants close early on Labor Day. But I learned the local Meituan of Uber eats. Compared with the domestic advanced driving and running, it is not an electric motorcycle. After all, there are fewer people running. Opposite the parking lot is public. The hotel opposite has a swimming pool.

The location was convenient and the price was acceptable, for an apartment hotel they have thought about somethings to make life convenient such as providing washing powder for the washing machine. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The lighting was not great, in the bedroom there were only two small bed side lights so it not great for reading in bed. The shower head was falling into the wall and when I asked to get it fixed so i could stand under it they moved it to the other side where it fell slightly less towards the wall. There was shampoo/conditioner and body was provided however no hand soap for washing hands The one window that opened was open when i arrived and one of the window closures was too high to reach easily and i couldn't fully close the window initially until i got a chair to stand on it to do so The other little thing that would make things easier for anyone staying is to move the fridge door to open from the other side so you can open the door and against the wall I struggled with the lighting over all but at least they had a separate light in the lounge that i could turn on so i could actually read my book as there was very little ceiling lights The woman on reception desk was very good and a credit to the hotel. she remained calm when things turned chaotic at the announcement of a lock down and lots of guests having to check out early to get home

Stayed for 2 nights on and adults weekend away. Great little hotel, rooms are nice with fully equipped kitchen in the suite. I would recommend the suite rather than room for a bit more space. Nice little touches like Bottled water, an Organic fruit drink and chocolate in your room on arrival. Plus you can help yourself to soft drinks and coffee in the lobby anytime. Came with breakfast (continental) which looked nice but we ate out. Customer service was really god. Very close to everything, Will stay again. The only thing that bothered me was no opening windows, but fresh air vents are in place.

This hostel is right in the city center, there is a grocery store across the road, and it is a few minutes walk to the Papa Museum. The whole hostel and our room were very clean. We were impressed with the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, and we felt great with a hairdryer and a straight hair stick in the ladies bathroom. The staff was friendly and you could still have a very affordable breakfast at the hostel. When you are in Wellington, we definitely recommend you to stay at this hotel.

We had no view from the room on this one but location-wise, the Q is excellent. It is on the main street making it the ideal base to explore Wellington. It is a tiny, sleepy city so it was good to be in the heart of it, although there is no little late-night supermarket (after 10) handy! Our room is pretty spacious with two double beds with a long desk/dressing table (for displaying all the 40th birthday cards) with a couple of comfy chairs alongside the desk chair. There’s good lighting all-round plus spare bedding in the cupboard. We didn’t get to use the kitchenette in our time although having a fridge is essential to me. In addition, there is an ironing board, hairdryer and kettle amongst the home comforts. Storage-wise there are about 8 quality wooden hangers in a single wardrobe and sufficient shelving and drawers to look after us for four nights. The bathroom has a good size bath with jets and the all-important heated towel rail so we didn’t need to have them changed. The service was great and on the other side of the hotel, we had use of coin-operated washing machine and dryer and were able to buy a small laundry detergent box from reception.

Nice serviced apartment hotel in a fabulous location perfect for accessing all parts of this astonishing city. Less than 10 minutes walk to the Basin Reserve cricket ground which was the main reason for our visit to catch the Kiwis v England 5-day test match. Friendly staff, nicely appointed rooms and suites with a washing machine and tumble dryer in the bathroom. The washing machine was essential for a 9-night stay with us only bringing carry on cabin luggage. We never used the tumble dryer as they are so bad for the environment and clothes tended to dry quite quickly naturally as well making use of the heated towel rail in the bathroom. We had a suite which consisted of a combined kitchen and living area, separate bedroom and large en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Absolutely perfect for a long stay.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good, in the city center, next to the Parliament Building, not far from the ferry, the room is spacious and clean, with kitchen facilities similar to an apartment, very suitable for family travel. The breakfast has fewer types than Hilton, but the quality is okay, 35nzd is half price for a child (my family is 3 and a half years old), and the hotel helps with parking for 40nzd, which is still very convenient. After all, the hotels in Wellington are basically not easy to park, after all, the city center is very expensive. The view from the room is good, there is a green area outside the window, which is the local cemetery (the locals don't mind these, it's very similar to Japan), and I personally don't think it matters, after all, the environment is very good.

GGuest UserWe have always enjoyed staying at QT Museum Hotel. We were given the option to upgrade to a Seaview room on the top floor with an additional charge. Seeing it is a more quiet room compared to my booking request on the 1st floor near road traffic and rubbish bin area, I paid the extra for the upgrade per night for 2 nights. Our room was not serviced well the following day. Rubbish bin in the bathroom being the only one was not emptied. The Bath and Shower gel was not replenished, we had to asked for it to be refilled. the cushions on the bed was still on the floor from the night before, the ironing board was still left out - I did not put it back as the iron was still very hot after ironing my dress for my conference that morning. The gym facilities was very tired with all towels being used and the used towels bin was overflowing. I was very disappointed with my stay this trip, using shortage of staff since Covid is a very old excuse now. Systems and procedures should be in placed by management to ensure the 5 star ratings is upheld. No point upselling or selling more rooms if they cannot keep customers happy to come back again. This was not only my opinion but that of my colleagues. very disappointing!

Rooms are fully equipped with kitchenette that has its own dishwasher/cooktop/fridge etc. super comfy bed and nice little balcony. Really nice open plan bathroom/wet room and lighting is great for dolling up! It’s the PERFECT spot for a night out on the town. Always will be booking here for when I am needing to spend my night in Central Wellington for events. Christian H at the counter is a very nice and welcoming work colleague.

よっしー旅The name of the hotel is known locally as MAUMI hotel, and the name on this site did not convey it. It feels like the old building is being carefully used, and the stairs and elevators are old. Even though it was a four-story building, it was taller around here, and the floors of each floor were spread out vertically and horizontally. The former CUBA street is the busiest downtown area, with many restaurants, shops, and cafes. The room faced the street, but the weekend noise disappeared by 12:00 and we had a quiet night. Until 8 o'clock in the morning of the holiday, the car was hardly running.

DDamon ShawcrossStayed her for a work on 5 August 2022 Good hotel in a handy central location. Good reception area, staff were friendly and welcoming. Not a modern hotel by any means but a classic feel to it. Was assigned a wheelchair accessible room 507, Room was a small queen room that was clean and well appointed. Being a disability accessible room, the bathroom was huge and essentially a wet-room without a bath. Not that I wanted one, but you would expect to see one, normally. Nearly slipped in the shower as I didn't find the rubber grip mat until after my shower as it was under the towels on the towel rail, where I didn't see it, rather than in the shower on the hand rail where I would. Good to see they have done away with the plastic bottles for Had an internal room facing another hotel block without a view, but this meant it was quiet. Wellington can get noisy on a Friday night but I slept well. Check out took maybe 10 seconds. Would stay again. Damon

GGuest UserWe both really enjoyed our stay here, it was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do for the 2 weeks we were there. The beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly. It was just 15min walk to the train station, 1 min walk to the closest bus stop which was great going to and from the airport and getting around the city. Te papa and the waterfront were a 10min walk away. Good bathroom facilities. We would stay again.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this hotel when visiting Wellington. (Rm705) The staff were friendly and helpful. The foyer and corridors looked tired and in need of refurbishment. We stayed on the top floor overlooking a side street. The room was clean well appointed and of a good size. The beds were comfortable and the shower had a good pressure. Car parking was limited and a tight squeeze to get in. We could have done with double glazing windows as we did have some street noise from rowdy people. The restaurant at the hotel needed to display More Gluten Free Options as this prevented us eating there. Al's Top Tips Ask for a room not over looking Willis Street. Take a good umbrella / waterproof clothing as it rains alot here and can be quite windy.

GGuest UserDisappointed our room was not the cleanest. And the pressure for the shower was very low. Shower over bath so very old. We went for Ed Sheeran concert so they doubled the price so for what we paid per night was way over the top but if you went at a time when nothing is on it’s a cheaper hotel. Staff were excellent thou very helpful. I would stay again but not pay the price we had to for concert. GGuest UserMy stay was disgusting and the receptionist (manager) was rude, mean, dismissive and argumentative. She has no empathy, doesn't care, she acted like I was inconveniencing her by just checking in and checking out. She would stare at me with utter distain. No ounce of customer service skills. Then had the audacity to call me rude and told me to get people skills. I was merely reacting to her being nasty and my taking money. She has no professionalism what so ever constantly acts like she is annoyed. She acted like she owned me and was trying to be my mummy She yelled at me and stole my money. The accommodation is disgusting, I dont even know where to start Upon arrival I thought there was no one there, I was left standing there. I didn't realise the receptionist was in the office ignoring me until a lady with a duffle bag went into the office and I asked the lady if someone was there to which she said yes. So I went to pop head in to say hello and the receptionist set on me growling at me and being nasty telling me to get and go away. She was rude and treated me like a criminal during check in. The room was impossible to find but I found it eventually. She heartless and inconsiderate. It's not a hotel it's a hostel Upon check out the receptionist acted like she was pissed off that I wanted to check out. She growled me because I touched the reception desk, there was some old tape hanging off and I kinda played with it and she just kept growling me and yelling at me saying I was ripping it when I wasn't and she wouldn't let me speak or shut up. I had to yell over her to check me out. She refused to give my money back because there was a hair dye transfer from me bright red hair on a towel. I explained the dye is water soluble and it will wash out. Never mind that my makeup and mascara were on the towels. She staring yelling at me and would only give me 80 dollars in the end. She only gave it to me because I argued with her she was going to take the whole 100. I had folded the towels, emptied the rubbish wipes the floors. She had to unfold the towels like literally look through a customer's washing. She was looking for a reason not to give my money back. When I was trying to explain the room situation she yelled at me and talked over me I was just trying to have a discussion about the issues with the accommodation and she yelled at me and growled at me for not complaining sooner. I can actually raise an issue whenever I please. The fridge leaked in the middle of the night and I used a towel to clean that up. Out of courtesy I placed a towel on a pillow to sleep to avoid hair dye transfer. The room was gross the shared toilet and bathroom were gross there was urine on the underside of the toilets. The shared kitchen area was gross There's like a ventilation system above the bed covered with dust, grime and build up which fell on me and the bed so I pulled it away. No mirrors! The draws and furniture are so old and tatty and smell bad.

GGuest UserIf you want cheap and very basic this is your place! The advert says they have Sky but they do NOT - they just have two channels of standard tv. Unfortunately we’d specifically chosen this place to watch a competition on sky - but couldn’t watch it. The manager wasn’t very happy when we asked about it. Bathroom works well - smelt of smoke, the windows didn’t lock shut, which meant street noise, but there was a heater to compensate (be careful with small kids thou). You can hear what is happening in other rooms - bring earplugs. but it’s cheap $120/night, great location, the cleaning staff are lovely and so helpful (possibly the best part of the stay).
