Not much to say really. A charmless, personality void sort of place. Aesthetically, it's not a great looking place. A sort of 1950's maternity hospital look about it. The place felt like it was closed. The majority of the chairs and tables were stacked up in corners. Staff on site were rarely seen. It felt a bit like an an abandoned ghost hotel. The room was average in size. It was clean and the bathroom was spotless. Bit annoying it didn't have a soft-close toilet seat (being picky now). The Air con was a free-standing machine in the corner which when on, was noisy and rattled. I could barely watched TV, and certainly couldn't sleep with it on. Didn't attempt breakfast, it didn't look that appealing. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not.

The Comet hotel Hatfield Location : excellent , just cross opposite to mall Room : comfortable , clean , more room space Overall are Good except the service of receptionist . This pub was not a bad place to stay for a night or two. The room itself was evidently recently refurbished to a high standard as was the bathroom. Pity they missed the opportunity to install double glazing! The traffic noise was intrusive. We were there on a Thursday evening and the bar was not noisy by the time we went to bed. There is no real parking. The manager did indeed lack charm and seemed to be too busy to welcome us properly. It is a busy pub and he seemed short staffed. But overall not bad value.
