Where to start! After a long day at the FA Cup, I went up to the room, rest of friends went to the bar. The bar/reception are separately by an archway, at night both manned by the same person. I got to the room, only one set of towels. Msgd my husband to ask for more, he was in the bar. Asked the barman/receptionist and was told he had to go to reception😂 it’s the same guy😂😂 he asked him for two gins, he asked them if they were ok in a pint glass (!) there was a cupboard behind marked “wine & spirits glasses” so the lads said ‘no, aren’t the glasses in that cupboard?’ The barman was shocked to find the balloon glasses in there! He apparently looked stunned that you served gins in them 😂 the lads observed him with much mirth as he proceeded to serve shots in dessert wine glasses with long stems and punters also offered pint glasses for short spirits ordering quadruples so they didn’t have to wait for this seriously slow individual! When the lads were leaving they walked the few steps to reception to get the missing towels only to find a massive queue of punters (past 10om) waiting to late check-in. So no towels for me! The ‘superior room’ has no aircon, a double bed which I’m sure is booked a king, mugs but no glasses and a shower you couldn’t swing a cat in. All for the princely sum of over £200, NEVER again.

A pleasant and surprising experience given the 'budget' reputation of Travelodge hotels. A lovely, lovely stay!

I was awoken at 0400 with people walking back and forward past my door. The whole door shook as they walked past making it impossible to get back to sleep. Food is convenient but dinner is similar to a microwave meal. I would not recommend.

Short pleasant stay. Rooms are basic but clean and tidy. Biggest plus is that it is literally above the train station making access to London easy. Area also well served with shops and eateries. Discounted parking next door to the hotel also good value

Apart from what is stated in the title I have nothing positive to say. The carpets in the hall on our floor were badly stained, including what looked like blood outside one room, not a good first impression. The room was ok and at the end of the day gave us a place to sleep. The breakfast was OK, but not a good standard…oh well.

Booked a room for myself, my sister, my niece & my mum as attending a concert at OVO. Convenient location, cheap parking, comfy bed, clean room and that’s where it ends. The girl on reception on arrival didn’t break a smile or make us feel welcome, could have been a robot for all we knew. The room was roasting hot and pretty unbearable. Desk lamp didn’t work & the plug socket beside it worked once to heat the kettle then never worked again. You need strong thumbs/fingers to flush the. toilet. It took a few attempts to gain success. A large group of guests with kids were really noisy until after midnight, kids running about and slamming doors and the group all talking loudly. Not the fault of the hotel but annoying non the less. The early morning ‘Wake up’ from the member of staff crashing a trolley with crockery into something, maybe a wall …was just wonderful at 5.30. At breakfast in the morning we sat at a smaller table with 3 chairs & pulled a 4th chair over from a very small table with 3 chairs. We fetched hot drinks and food items which we placed on our table and on our return from getting cutlery we watched a rather grumpy male employee pull the 4th chair away. We explained that we were a party of 4 (2 were on their way) and we didn’t want to take up the big table for 8 that was available. He simply said ‘move to that table’ gesturing to the very large table, and then stood and watched myself and My ** year old mother carry our food, drinks, bags, cardigans etc to the Huge Table. I honestly hope that he is getting paid the bare minimum to ‘work’ there and I heavily suspect that he NEVER gets any tips! Actually the only tip that I wanted to give him was….. ‘ how about smile, do your job, have some manners and learn how to behave around paying customers’ … what an unpleasant start to our day to be treated so disgustingly. On returning to our room after breakfast none of our card keys were working so we had to return to reception … we were told by other guests that if you held the key near your Phone it cancelled it. We were never told this by staff. Only our arrival to reception we had a long al wait for service as the one member of staff was covering reception and breakfast … she was clearly so overworked that she had left the till open leaving a fair amount of money available for a dishonest person to help themselves to!! The family waiting ahead of us commented to her when she eventually arrived that she should feel lucky that we were all honest folk. Would I stay here again ??? Only if it were the last place available and I was DESPERATE to see a show and this was the deciding factor. The one real positive was a delightful member of staff who was sitting in the reception area when we arrived .. she was happy smiling, engaging and when we were discussing b how my niece who suffers very bad panic attacks, was not comfortable with the lifts (which is the only method of getting in or out of the hotel or Indeed to your room or r

Very nice hotel with attentive staff. Great welcome when we arrived. Room and bed were very comfortable - we slept well with blackout curtains too! Lots of tea and coffee in the room. The area was very quiet for a good night sleep. The team we very helpful and all the staff were welcoming as well

Between an uncomfortable bed and noise levels you won't get much sleep. The refurbishment must only be selected rooms as mine was outdated, dirty and smelt. Be prepared to feel like you are putting the bar staff out in an evening when you want a drink. One plus is reduced parking
