"I attended the hotel for some help after my battery died and my friend had gotten lost. I asked for help to charge my phone so I could find my friend. I was denied this help. Whilst I accept it’s often busy after concerts and I agree it can be difficult ti manage the waifs and strays. What upset me most is that given violence against women and girls is now a national emergency meaning we all have a duty to help. Luckily St George’s hotel over the road allowed me to charge my phone so I could get home safely in a city I’m unfamiliar with. Holiday inn - you should hang your heads in shame. Worst still I expect your staff - the ones that flat out refuse to help me probably have female children. I’ll pray that they’re never in a situation like I was but I’ll hope that if they ever are a business can get over their reputation and greed and help. Violence against women and girls is a national emergency and EVERYONE has a duty to minimise it as far as possible. (Including powerful businesses like yours). On this basis alone I would outright refuse to support your business and nor will any of my friends or family."
