Very happy to recommend this fantastic pension near Wernigerode old city center. It’s just a couple of minutes away from the railway station. The surrounding area is quiet and the churchbell muffled by the well isolated windows. The room itself is tidy and cosy. The landlady is a wonder of service and attention. The breakfast is fantastic and the variety of food….. I simply love this place.

This is a lovely place to stay. Kathrin the owner very friendly and helpful, her English is excellent. The hotel is beautifully decorated and you can buy toiletries, snacks and drinks. Comfy bed, nice pillows, decent WiFi. Shower took a while to warm up but was excellent when it did. Effective and easy to adjust heating. The breakfast buffet is superb. Theres no lift but there are some ground floor rooms and at worst you have to go up 2 flights of stairs.
The hotel is on a quiet street but gets some noise from the nearby main road and railway station. It is a 2 minute walk from the railway station but about 1km walk into the center of Wernigerode. Theres a few places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk.
Overall its a lovely place to stay and i would be delighted to return
