The conditions in West Yellowstone are absolutely ok. It’s unique and don’t even think about the service. There are Chinese and Western food nearby. It’s very convenient to see wolves and bears. Just go to McDonald’s for breakfast.

This place rocked. Loved it and will go again. The cabins are modern and the BEST. Get the two bedroom, it is not shared. Really amazing stay and staff were amazing. Close to all the shops and restaurants. Really peaceful and calm. LOVED IT. We went end of April, a bit cold but nice and romantic. When you arrive, go stock up at the grocery store and enjoy. Such a change from the big city life. Loved it here and will stay again.

We visited Yellowstone in early October 2023 and felt lucky to get an Old Faithful King cabin booked for two nights only 5 weeks out. We stayed in #18 and loved it. I'm sure the other cabins are nice as well, but we really liked having one in the smaller end grouping. The cabin was clean and spacious. We didn't have time to take advantage of the fire pit and smores kit, but really hope to on a future visit. We will definitely stay here again. Our only question at the time was where to get ice, but we were able to get some from the nearby Grey Wolf Lodge where you check in & out.

The cabins are very elegant, excellent for a family because it has everything for you to cook and store your things. They have an area to burn marshmallows so you can spend time with the family at night. After a certain hour they light all the bonfires. They have a pool, free drinks, very good service at reception. I booked two days but separately and they helped me make it the same cabin. It is expensive, but it was worth it. It is close to a small zoo and the entrance to Yellowstone, so it is in a perfect location.

The Explorer Cabins are a good home base for day hiking in Yellowstone. The staff from Gray Wolf Inn were super quick to bring us coffee when we ran out and to turn on the fire pit outside when we asked. The kitchen was a little small to try and make breakfast, but we made due and also had enough space to make our sandwiches for our hikes each day.
