A beautiful hotel with a splendid view, at the edge of the road but close to nature! We had a pleasant stay! Comfortable room with a view, very good buffet breakfast!

Stayed one night in this lovely hotel.
The food was absolutely fabulous. Outdoor dining area was perfectly laid out.
Service and staff were just first class.

Splendid overnight stay. Free parking Check in was straight forward. Lovely clean room overlooking the river Room had all the facilities you would expect from a top quality hotel. Lovely table in the restaurant again over looking the river. Excellent dinner. Excellent buffet at breakfast with a wide choice. Staff all very friendly. Can't fault it

We just stayed there for a two night break. It was our second time there. We had a nice suite. The food, in the bar and in the restaurant, was excellent. There was a big wedding on but it didn’t interfere with our break. In fact we got a free fireworks display out of it. The best thing about the hotel is the staff who are really great.

This is NOT a four star hotel. The best thing about it is the view. I have had better airline meals. If you are vegan or vegetarian do not eat here you will NOT be catered for offerings are abysmal. Zero atmosphere, a cold bar with a fake fire that gave off no heat. Staff inexperienced unhelpful and disinterested. Give it a wide berth.

Just back from a four night stay at the Ferrycarrig. I cannot praise the Management and Staff highly enough. From the Reservations team to Front of House, Dining Room, Bar, Housekeeping, Leisure everything was faultless. 5* all the way. Derek Coyne the General Manager has to be complimented on the very high standards he and his team have achieved at very competitive rates. Cannot be surpassed. Many thanks to all the Team. Staff, food and views from room were excellent. However shower not working, cold and no power. We booked a Superior room but it did not live up to expected standard. Also signage needed in lift to indicate floor levels for Reception, Restaurant etc....

Terrible experience for a family trip. Had to leave early due to bad food, service and two weddings. Never again. I stayed a few years ago and it was awful. Nothing has changed. Do not order small bites off bar menu. Room was fine but no sleep due to wedding guests slamming doors and shouting in corridors. At times it was scary experience. So many people

A really lovely hotel. It's an old country house with modern additions, a ballroom and new bedrooms mainly. You enter through the main doors of the old house to a lovely foyer with a bar/restaurant to the right and a corridor to the ballroom and rooms to the left. They were really welcoming, you know the kind when they seem genuinely happy to see you and as if you're their only guest. I've no idea how great professionals can do that on a daily basis, it takes training and a proper mindset to do and the staff here got that spot on consistently. We had a lovely lunch in the bar on arrival. Food was great, the service was wonderful - the staff are happy to chat away or leave you alone. We had a special family occasion here and it was ideal for a midweek-into-weekend stay. The bedrooms are the only slight drawback. They are snug, not tiny, but it helps if you're thin. As are the walls. The guests next door liked their TV up loud, so we could follow the film in great detail - every word. The area is lovely too, we took a few walks along the country roads, visited the village and met a few people for a chat. We're not golfers, the course ids right in front of the house, we saw soe spectacular shots and some widow-makers too. Despite the limitations of the rooms, we'd go back for sure.
