"Love whites hotel, 4th time to visit . Fantastic location right in thd middle of town . Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Enjoyed a meal in the restaurant first night of our stay . 2nd night we went to jasper's restaurant 2mins from the hotel ( highly recommended) . All staff very plesent at the hotel , comfortable beds ,great nights sleep . Highly recommend staying at whites."

"We recently dined at the Amber Springs Hotel and unfortunately one of the main dishes was quite disappointing. I ordered the Nasi Goreng, which included pork belly. I fully appreciate that pork belly is a fatty cut, but what was served was largely inedible - three or four pieces that were almost entirely fat rather than properly cooked meat. I’ve had pork belly many times, and this was not prepared to the expected standard. The rest of the dish was average at best - the rice was fine, the vegetables were okay, but overall it lacked flavour and no soy sauce was offered. There was also a fried egg on top which felt a bit random and was overcooked. I did raise this with the manager, who was very polite and handled the interaction well. However, when it was brought back to the kitchen, the response relayed from the chef was simply that “pork belly is supposed to be fatty.” That felt dismissive of the feedback rather than taking it on board. To be fair, we were still charged for the dish, which is fine, but the bigger issue was the lack of acknowledgement that the dish itself wasn’t right. A more constructive response from the kitchen would have gone a long way. Overall, good service from the floor team, but the food and handling of feedback on this occasion fell short."

"Was a lovely venue. Nice room. Clean. Nice staff. Unfortunately I was staying over the weekend. Had noted that there was live music, this was lovely but thought after closing time this would abate. Unfortunately the live music turned to dance music and went on past 2 am . If you’re looking for a party hotel. This is the place for you. Not for families or with your elderly mam. I decided to swap hotels but had prepaid for two nights. Asked to speak to the manager ( who came on over the phone with a member of the bar staff). I politely explained we had had no sleep and were weren’t made aware music would be playing,full blast till 2 am, I asked for a partial refund, for the night we wouldn’t be staying, was told no. Disappointing."
