Esklet Guest House

The room was very clean and had comfortable beds. Shower and bathroom very clean. The lady was very welcoming. Will definitely stay again.

The parking is limited for the guest house but it's like this for most of them, if you do get a spot the guest house do give you a free parking permit, it was full on our visit so we had to park in the leisure center up the road cost £13 for 24 hours, the room was was clean as was the bathroom with power shower, tea and a kettle provided, an hairdryer, WiFi was a little unpredictable, and we had no natural light or view as it was overlooking another guest house that was so close it blocked out most of the light, but as we were there just for an overnighter it wasn't a problem, the location is good, about a 10 minute walk down to the town center, there is a petrol station and the top of the road too..

Difficult to find on road parking so cost £12 for 24 hrs close by. Shower kept blocking.. loads of hair pulled from plug hole. Domestic situation in near by room was handled very well by proprietary. Beds comfy .. tv tiny !

It is a lovely place in a nice quiet area ...bedroom very cleaned nice comfy bed and the owner very nice the area is very close to centre ..we would definitely come again

We had a very nice stay at The Esklet Guest House. The owner met us on arrival and gave a very clear instruction on the parking arrangements. It is on street parking, the owner gave us a parking disc for the first night and also a permit for the following two days. Very useful to have clear instruction rather than be left to figure it out yourself. The accomodation was a large ground floor room. Very clean and comfortable. There is no breakfast as was made clear on the booking, but there is something wrong if you can't find a decent breakfast in Whitby! All in all we were very pleased with The Esklet and would be happy to stay again next time we visit Whitby. Thank you.

Cost effective, basic but comfortable. Comfortable no-frills guest house, well priced and conveniently situated at the top end of Whitby. Parking vouchers are available free to enable street parking outside. The establishment doesn’t provide breakfast but there are plenty of options nearby. There’s no residents lounge which was not a problem for me but some people might want to know. There is free WiFi but it is patchy and the phone signal locally is not brilliant. However, it is enough for basic connectivity. My room had en-suite facilities, tea/coffee, television. Room cleaning and maintenance was sporadic but adequate and particular requests were met with action. Overall a good cost effective accommodation. No complaints.

Weekend in Whitby Location was excellent. Good clean room. The only issue was because we were ground floor level we could here traffic noise and people upstairs banging around. But that would not put us off staying again. Parking was free with a permit.
