Oh dear!!!! We will be writing a proper review on *********** which is where we booked this hotel as it had a descent rating for some unknown reason. This is an awful accommodation I wouldn't call it a hotel. It is at best a homeless hostel type of room. Unclean as there were short hairs on the bathroom floor, the bathroom door didn't work, bathroom tiny and sink so small you can't wash your face..... Cramped, outdated smelly, disgusting room. We paid nearly 400 pound for 2 nights and we were so disappointed at everything. It was the most depressing place I have ever stayed in my 46 years. The stairs we had to climb to get to our room carrying our luggage was unbelievable. Not one staff member on site during our stay. Finding a car park space was a challenge in itself. When we first arrived at this property I wanted to cry and go home, I blame myself for not reading the trip advisor reviews aswell as ***********. Its only fair as people know about this place as people spend alot of hard earned money on going away. A total rip off and I am so annoyed and upset. Its so bad we didn't sleep on the bed, we slept outside the sheets with a towel over us. It's probably riddled with lice.

Duped by false advertising. The only thing deluxe about our stay was the price. The room was 140 night without breakfast, I wouldn't have paid over 80. It was at the top of the building and can only be described as the servant’s bedroom. The whole place felt more like a hostel than a hotel. There was a cold communal TV room downstairs with no remote to switch the TV on. Cons- 1) No Staff whatsoever available 2) Bedroom was Tiny just big enough to fit a double bed in. I could just squeeze past the drawers and bed to get to my side of the room. 3) The sink was dripping a green substance onto the bathroom floor. 4) The wine glass on the tray was so dirty you could hardly see through it. 5)The Deluxe Toiletries consisted of a bar of soap. It did put a bit of a damper on our New Year trip as we were expecting a lot more. Fortunately we only stayed 2 nights.

This was the worst accomodation I have ever stayed in. The entrance hall and stairs carpet was very dirty. The bedroom floor was not clean. We could not use the cups or kettle on the tea tray as they were dirty. The bathroom was ok but the shower had no hot water so were were unable to shower. The owner said he had just taken over the hotel 2 days previously and described it to us as faulty towers.

Despite the listing saying free breakfast that is no longer correct. We booked for this weekend on the basis of a breakfast being provided but we’re advised on arrival that they only do room only service now. We advised the owner that the listing is wrong and she said she would have it amended. Other than that a typical budget hotel with clean rooms but dated.

Stayed here for 1 night, good location, staff friendly, room nice and bed comfy. We managed to park right outside the hotel, you pay £2:50 to the hotel for the permit. The downside for us was breakfast, I thought I’d seen that it was a full English, but it’s not, it’s a bag outside your door containing a pastry, yogurt, porridge pot, banana etc each. Emma’s diner is a lovely place for breakfast though.

1 The whole house is very out dated and very scruffy and unclean 2 Owner was really abrupt and clearly wasn’t interested in anything we were asking about, except when he wanted the £2.50 parking money 3 There was no parking, we parked 4 streets away 4 The room was so scruffy and outdated shocking Dirty walls ripped paper near window. There were previous tenants hairs in bathroom and on the clean towels. Oh and the complementary open bar of soap and shampoo were disgusting. The top bed(blanket) had stains all over the bottom part. The ceiling was obviously damp but covered over with white paint. 5 We got the top of house room it stunk of drains, it was awful even with the bathroom door shut the room stunk of human waste 6 Tv didn’t work, when we told him it was well if it doesn’t work it doesn’t work. He said they were hit by lightening 3 weeks earlier and not all TVs had been repaired. He wasn’t interested at all 7 All we could hear all night was them moving about banging etc above us 8 To finish our delightful stay off was breakfast. We had 3 in our room but only received a tatty brown bag for 2 people not 3 as paid for We received 2 boiled eggs 2 cheap awful yogurts a mini baby belle a cheap cheese triangle 1 over ripe banana and a soft apple 2 very hard stale breakfast bars and 2 bottles of water 9 Time to leave I wanted to complain about our room and appalling breakfast but no one would ans the bell when we rang it 6 times and waited nearly 10 mins before we finally left.

1. Photo on trip advisor is not the hotel. 2 No Parking is available as advertised 3. No cooked breakfast but a paper bag of random food outside your door in the morning. 4. Left over soap/shampoo from Xmas gift sets are the complementary toiletries 5. Dated rooms with a shower tray that feels like you are going to fall through the ceiling. 6. Three grotty towels for guests to use 7. Walls so thin you can hear next door 8. Dog bowls and bed greet you as you enter the property along with dogs lounging around 9. The double bed was in fact two twins pushed together 10. Paid approx £90 per night for a very memorable experience....avoid at all costs. Sorry Esplanade....I think you need a visit from the hotel inspector.
