Haven Crest

Great stay at the B & B. Thanks Chris & Fay for such a welcoming stay, we will definitely be staying here every time we’re in Whitby now. Perfect location for a nice walk into Whitby for a potter about, after a great breakfast. The rooms are immaculate and a great price. We definitely recommend staying at Haven Crest.

We had a lovely nights stay at Haven Crest B&B. Very clean, comfortable room with all mod cons. Good location (walking distance to town centre) and the on site parking very handy. Very helpful and friendly hosts! Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice! Booked again for another two nights soon!!

I can say without fear of contradiction that my all too brief stay at the Haven Crest was the best bed & breakfast experience I've had. I stayed over with my son in a lovely warm and clean twin room. Hosts Chris and Fay were friendly, attentive, informative, and most of all very welcoming. The room was spacious (as was the bathroom) and we were provided with a generous amount of tea and coffee (Yorkshire Tea of course). Ample parking outside. The breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruit salad, good selection of cereals and yoghurt and locally sourced breakfast - really tasty and generous plate too. Fay looked after the breakfast order and Chris provided the chef duties. What a couple. Genuinely felt so welcome. Wish I'd booked a couple of nights instead of one. Really hope to return. The B&B is a 15-minute walk to the Whale Bones and it is a lovely walk along the coastal path. A local pub is 90 seconds away - but there is no noise from the pub or the immediate environs. Had a really comfortable sleep. Would recommend a visit! I will be coming back with family most certainly.

Clean and homely. Had a great weekend staying here. They were so hospitable and couldn't do enough for you. The cooked breakfast was really good. The room was a nice size with tea and coffee station. The bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower. My partner is tall and he found it a good size.

Friendly staff. Close to a really lovely restaurant and pub. Rooms a little small so a nice comfortable lounge to sit in would have been nice.

The only thing I could have found fault with was the shower - it was more like gentle rain, rather than a tropical storm. Having said that, I had a great stay. The property is less than 5 minutes walk from the beach and the Cleveland Way, giving the oportunity of a 15 minute walk into Whitby in one direction and about a half hour walk to Sandsend in the other. Also close to regular bus service. There was a warm welcome, great service, plenty of parking space, a lovely comfy bed and great choice for an English breakfast.

good for one night stopover

Both my husband and I were so happy with the establishment and with the owners. Chris (manager) made us so welcome. There was plenty of parking space, and our room and en-suite was so clean, comfortable and quiet. The promenade was close by and we had a pleasurable walk into Whitby. In the morning, the owners made a lovely and refreshing breakfast, and the young lady who brought our meal was so polite and pleasant. We would be more than happy to go to Haven Crest again.

Great B&B with perfect hosts in a good location. A fair walk into the centre of Whitby but fine if you don't mind that and prefer a quieter spot with lovely views! Chris was very welcoming and helpful re parking when we arrived. Fay couldn't have been more attentive at breakfast (lovely food too). Very happy to recommend and would definitely love to go back.
