Had two nights at The Stables. Lovely refurbishment and very clean. Sadly we found the service rather disappointing as there were very few staff both at reception, at the bar and in general. Some of the existing staff do need a training session on how things are run. Overall with better and more trained staff this will be a great place to stay, outside of Whitby centre

Great hotel, lovely and clean and quiet. Only downside was there were only two vegan options on the menu for dinner. Both absolutely fine but quite basic for the price. Other than that, a beautiful stay.

I would have liked for the waiters to have taken your meal order for you rather than having to go to the bar and put the order in yourself. This would not be easy if it was a larger party. Otherwise everything was top class thankyou.

Great location for a stop over during a golf trip in the area. Cosby welcoming hotel, good food, comfortable beds, nice lounge.

really enjoyed my 2 night stay and would stay there again. road noise bit of a pain(room14). that would have been end of my review but need to put 100 characters so the rain shower head about 6 foot high and i am 6 foot 3. minor problem.

We have had evening meals several times at the Stables but this was the first time that we had stayed overnight. The meals are always brilliant and tasty with ample platefuls and a very creative menu. Once again out evening meal was fabulous. As expected the breakfast was equally as good - I had Eggs Benedict while my wife had Eggs on toast. I had been told that the the ‘queen of poached eggs’ would be preparing them. They didn’t disappoint and everything else on the breakfast menu looked great. Our room was fabulous with a massive bed, superb shower room, good sized television and a patio area outside the room overlooking the gardens and valley. We will definitely be going back to the Stables.

Stayed here before heading up the coast, very near Whitby , plenty of parking and a beautiful site, we had our breakfast overlooking the countryside and a well set out garden. Would be lovely in the summer although much busier.
