Where to begin with our experience of the Marine? Having tried several hotels in Whitstable we chose the Marine to stay in for our wedding after a lovely stay and meeting the fabulous Jackie! Having 12 rooms in total across our whole party we popped into the Marine any time we were in Whitstable to add or change a booking and Jackie was so lovely and remembered us every time! Our actual stay was brilliant and all our friends and family loved the hotel too! We cannot praise every aspect of the hotel enough; the location is perfect with incredible views, incredibly clean (shout out to Karen in housekeeping for being so lovely!), the breakfast is brilliant, great selection of drinks in the bar and the food in the restaurant is amazing (we ate dinner here twice!) Thank you so much to Jackie for being so brilliant! Solving our one and only problem so quickly and so well and for being generally lovely and really making our stay so special! The Marine will always have a special place in our hearts and we can’t wait to come back for our anniversary! Sadie and Eline

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night break at the Marine Hotel. Excellent location with easy walking along the seafront. Room spacious and clean. Hotel is extremely well managed, staff are welcoming and work as a team, service is important to them. Food is excellent, we had afternoon teas, breakfast, dinner, and service could not be faulted. Bar well stocked, and service again excellent. Will recommend and return.

What a lovely mini break in this delightful hotel, which is tastefully decorated without being pretentious. We had a nice big room with sea view and balcony. Could not have wished for better accommodation. Food very good and served in pleasant orangarie. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff personable and extremely helpful. Can’t wait to go again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marine hotel. The location was good on the sea front The reception and dining staff were professional, friendly and helpful . Our room was lovely and was spacious, clean and comfortable with a good choice of teas, coffees, bottled water, Nespresso coffee machine and fresh milk in a flask Breakfast was included and delicious with lots of choice. We also had our Dinner here and the food was really good with great service Highly recommend

Lovely hotel, with a sense of community. Our room was comfortable with great facilities. Very good breakfast in the morning, served by pleasant, helpful staff. Whitstable castle and the shops were within walking distance.

We chose the Marine Hotel for a reunion. We are a group of eight former teachers who taught together sixty years ago. The hotel proved to be the perfect venue. We thought that the accomadation,food and beverage and the hospitality were first class and the sea view provided added value. Whitstable is a lovely seaside town and a perfect setting off point for visits to Canterbury.

Very good stay. Exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. Nice decor and spacious rooms. Great location in the front near the massive beach! I expect it’s gorgeous on a sunny day, but it’s raining. Nice bar and restaurant area, although we didn’t have dinner there, only drinks. Breakfast was very good in the lovely conservatory room. Try it.

Marine Hotel is in a great location with lovely walks. Hotel was perfect for our stay. Very clean.Friendly staff, lovely sea view room(22) comfortable bed and pillows.Great food. Lovely lounge area to enjoy a drink after dinner. We will be back!
