The scenery is beautiful during the holidays, but you have to pay the city tax in cash after checking in. Everything else is good. It is a certain distance from the train station, but the scenery on the road is beautiful.

After checking in, I felt like a B&B with a very family atmosphere. There were some old furniture and toys on each floor. The room was warm and tidy. The breakfast was good. I actually had ham that tasted like Beijing pine nut belly. The only drawback is that there is no elevator. The staff will help you carry your luggage upstairs.

The location of the hotel is farther from the train station than other hotels. The place is clean and tidy, and the breakfast has many varieties and features. It's a pity that I have to give a bad review on the service. I should check in at 3:00 pm, and I won't have a room until 4:00 pm. It is also different from the room pointed out 1 hour ago. We sat outside the door of the room to eat, took a cloth stool to put food on, and covered it with protection. But an old woman (it seems to be the owner of the hotel, who lives next door to our room) passed by, took two pieces of cloth and asked us to protect this stool 😳 During the period, we kept admonishing us not to eat outside the door (should be Eating in the garden) will stain the stool, and remind you not to eat in the room. The garbage in the room should be taken out of the trash can 15 meters away, because it will produce peculiar smell and affect the air quality of the room. during moving food. The drink poured down, and her complexion became even uglier. He reprimanded him again, saying that he destroyed the stool. This kind of service is really disgusting. We've stayed in hotels a lot, but have never met a hotel staff (or owner) like this. 100% not recommended, and the cost of living is not cheap. It is a really bad hotel stay experience. Highly not recommend as it doesn't match its high price with its service.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel with a Rail Discoveries group. It’s a traditional Swiss chalet. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Food and wine were excellent and there was plenty choice for everyone. Ample portions and good table service. Breakfast was continental buffet style but always lovely fresh bread, fruit, cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs etc. Really nice large room in the annexe. Serviced daily and towels changed etc. Would go back in a minute!
Response from Property: Dear alisonb We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us so very much! Thank you for your compliments. It is always nice for us to read that our guests were happy with our accommodation, food and services. Kind regards from the Alpenblick Team.

Delightful rustic charm in this lovely quiet hotel in the tradutional alpine chalet style, and decorated throughout with "gemutlich" antique furniture and ornaments - yet only a short walk from Wilderswil station with convenient connections to all the Jungfrau region attractions. Excellent service throughout: an ample buffet alpine breakfast with local produce and warm, freshly baked bread. Excellent evening meals with beer from the village brewery. A cosy room, although perhaps a firmer mattress would have made it even better.

My wife and I booked the Jungfraujoch All Inclusive tour with Rail Discoveries. Hotel Alpenblick was our base. After our initial booking RD offered us an upgrade for an extra charge. We are so glad we did. We were on the first floor of the annex on the opposite side of the road. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The TV reception for BBC and ITV channels was better than most places we have stayed in the English Lake District. The shower room was spacious and ideal. Plenty of storage. Spacious and comfortable bed. The balcony was the icing on the cake with uninterrupted views to the Eiger and the Monch mountains. On a late afternoon it was also shaded from the intense sun. The position of the hotel is perfect. It is on a quiet road and within minutes you can access footpaths, lanes and countryside. The building itself is up to 400 years old and has plenty of character. The few staff we came into contact with were mainly very friendly and helpful. One waitress in particular was outstanding. The "odd job" man was always cheerful and helpful. He tended the flowers to perfection. All of the food was of excellent quality and variety. A simple packed lunch filled the gap between breakfast and dinner. Adaptors for Switzerland are available from reception for a returnable deposit. A welcome bonus. If you like walking we suggest the walk from the hotel via Unspunnen Ruin, Rugenbrau Brewery, Interlaken West, Unterseen, Weissenau to Neuhaus and back. About 12km.

The service was excellent from everyone at the Hotel Alpenblick. A very comfortable room, well worth the extra payment for the single occupancy as arranged. Amazing evening meals with an excellent waiter service and the variety of items for the breakfast was exceptional. I have never been to an hotel with such an aura of comfort throughout!
Response from Property: Dear bryanb Thank you very much for your visit and feedback. We are very happy to read that you enjoyed your stay with us on all levels. It is nice for us to see happy customers. Kind regards from the Alpenblick Team.

A beautiful authentic Swiss hotel, comfortable beds, good shower, spotlessly clean and spacious room. The staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The food is excellent, we had full board, there was plenty of choice at breakfast, the picnic lunches were freshly made, delicious and adequate. The evening meal was gourmet food, variety each evening with a vegetarian option, exquisitely presented and balanced with a mixture of fish, meat vegetables and fruit.
Response from Property: Dear Ssarahh Thank you very much for your visit and feedback. Your wonderful description of your stay with us is most inspiring. We love to read how happy you are with us. Looking forward to your next visit. Kind regards from the Alpenblick Team.

We went as part of the Great Railways Journeys tour, which I’d imagine makes up a lot of this hotels bookings. This may account for why we were sort of seen as an afterthought and given the lesser quality rooms. The rooms are very tired indeed and pretty basic but the beds were pretty comfortable. Apparently there are some rooms that have been updated and hopefully this is an ongoing project. The food was ok, started the week pretty poorly but improved. The main restaurant is Michelin starred but this did not carry over to the restaurant our group was put in. The area was very small and got very hot, making dinner a fairly uncomfortable, cramped experience. Breakfast was the same, the area is just too small for the amount that were in our group which is bizarre when the main restaurant area is spacious and was largely empty in the mornings. Again, I think this shows that the hotel sees the group booking as just an afterthought, a source of steady income but not really what they are interested in. The waiting staff were amazing and very attentive, and the management would do well to emulate them as they, on the other hand, seemed to be quite rude and made us feel like we were not really wanted. We heard from one of the staff that the chef took a large percentage of their tips and was extremely unkind to them. This is really unacceptable as those guys were brilliant. They are the stars of the Alpenblick and made up for a lot of the hotels shortcomings. Overall an ok stay but I would personally stay in Interlaken, more going on and nicer hotels.

We stayed 6 nights here as part of a Great Railway Journeys holiday. Luckily this review is about the hotel rather than the total disaster of the Great Railway Journeys holiday. Our room was in the annex over the car park away from the main hotel. It was large and spotless. There was a seating area, a bedroom space, a kitchen area (not to be used though), and a bathroom that you could swing umpteen cats around. Shower was good & easily adjustable. The tv had lots of English channels. Just one negative for us was that the beds (2 joined singles) were very low. Took a bit of getting out of with my dodgy back, I can tell you. But that wouldn’t be a problem for a fit young person. WiFi was good & reliable. The served meals were very good. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was mostly self service. The evening meals were great. Plenty of courses all of which were tasty and served efficiently. I only left 1 course all week. Fish lasagne was not for me. We preferred it when we sat inside the main restaurant rather than up in the breakfast room for evening meals. The packed lunches were ok, but a bit bland. A sandwich, apple, piece of cake & and drink every day. Would’ve been nice to vary the fruit & cake a bit. They did the job though. The only negatives we found were the low bed and the packed lunch. As well as the prior observation, the lunches weren’t available on the first day due to it all being taken. That could well be another Great Rail Journeys failure so maybe the hotel is not to be faulted here. We also had to miss the final breakfast as we wanted to catch an early train, but the opening time for breakfast couldn’t be altered to accommodate. The hotel is a 10 minute or so walk from the rail station and a few minutes from the bus stop. There’s not much else to do in the village, but as you can see, Interlaken is easily accessible.

Lovely hotel. Traditional architecture in and out. We asked for a room on the ground floor for health reasons and we were accommodated in a suite. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Continental breakfast, huge choice. A packed lunch was provided daily. The serving staff were very pleasant and attentive. So friendly. Wine glasses regularly topped up throughout the evening dinner. Room and bathroom were cleaned daily. Beds really comfortable. Beautiful view of the Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau from our room - when the clouds were high enough. Nice outdoor space for evening drinks. Would highly recommend Alpenblick.
