Comfortable spacious room, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast. The hotel is just off the main shopping street so very well placed. There is not a lift and the car park has steps to and from so would not be ideal for someone who cannot manage steps and stairs.

Last minute booking to stay at Hotel Du Vin for my wife’s birthday and it was top notch. We were upgraded to a garden room which was spacious and very comfortable. Spent a delightful afternoon having a drink or two in the courtyard. Breakfast was very good . Staff were all friendly and efficient, especially Lydia who was absolutely excellent and incredibly helpful.

It really is lovely. Room was huge and warmly decorated. Good selection of ‘in room’ amenities such as coffee machine, chocolates, good quality shampoo/conditioner. Room service is of really good quality and the breakfast is really nice too

Really lovely stay. Arrived Sunday at 1.15 pm and not only were we given a room upgrade but we were able to check in early. Had booked the half board option in advance so had a great evening meal and very lovely breakfast for a great price. Room was great, Very comfy bed, large bathroom with a good shower, lovely L'Occitane toiletries and plenty of hot water (unlike a lot of Winchester which was having a problem with its water supply Sunday/Monday.). Staff were friendly and helpful, including sending back my phone charger that I left in the room. Thank you!

Hotel Du Vin was an excellent place to stay, well located a very short stroll to the main high street of Winchester & 10 minute walk of the train station. The room itself was immaculate with nice touches. Front desk were very welcoming & helpful.

Lovely hotel environment and room. Right on the Winchester centre, ideal position for visiting the Castle, the Cathedral and the College. Had a very good French dinner at the Hotel bistrot and thanks to the welcoming and attentive Izzy who made us feel at home and suggested delightful dishes.
