The loft on the second floor is very nice, you can lie down and watch the stars. There is a lake outside and the scenery is very good.

The room decoration partitions are unreasonable, there are two steps from the sleeping room to the bathroom, and there is no refrigerator in the room.

Location is great. Staff are very helpful, breakfast is excellent and lots of choice. We had a superior room at the Windermere Rooms. I expected a better view/facilities for the cost, rooms were very warm but could be easily fixed by turning the radiators down. Floor in the bedroom was slightly uneven which didn’t affect the stay but something I didn’t expect for the price of the room. I would definitely stay again but probably wouldn’t pay for a superior room.

The rooms are clean and comfortable but the staff in the Wateredge Inn, directly opposite where you check in and have breakfast are awful.
The first morning was such a bad experience we did not bother going over for the second morning.

Good stuff:
The housekeeping staff were amazingly helpful and knowledgeable.
Rooms was great.
Not so good stuff:
Menu was a bit disappointing but only because there are 4 other Inn Group Hotels in Ambleside which all had basically the same menu.
The breakfast staff were a little abrupt.
