Room was a good size. Plenty of parking available. Swimming pool was nice. Nice view of the lake from the gardens. Very friendly staff. Lovely food. Pleasant gardens. The lounge was relaxing with nice sofa .
Some minor issues:
Lack of shower pressure ， toilet wouldn't flush properly, blood stain on the floor of the toilet, took ages to get hot water through for showering

A beautiful property. Everything is very clean and location very good. Service staff also very friendly, makes you come back and order more. We took a bigger room as had luggage for comfort. Everything went well. Very close to a hike trail with nice top views of Windermere lake

The breakfast was bad and made members of the party I’ll due to its poor quality. Our shower only worked every now and then which really wrecked the feeling of the holiday. In addition they had far too few staff to actually run the hotel with only enough for about 4 parties to have dinner at the hotel. Will not be heading back.

Hotel is in desperate need of a revamp. Rooms and bathrooms are dated and filthy dirty. Hotel is dreadfully understaffed and no one is ever at the reception desk. Breakfast was mediocre at best, a few cereal boxes and bananas. Scrambled eggs brought out by the chef in an old bucket and tossed into a bowl on the side board, just awful. Avoid at all costs! Old socks and litter found behind the couch, hair balls on the window sills and old dental floss in the corner of the bathroom floor. 3 of us went home with pink eye, convinced it was from either the pillows or the towels. Rather sleep in your car!

Having been against Arnold and your mother on the number of occasions over very many years, I was so pleased this year to find that the staff in the hotel were plentiful and helpful. The food was not simply pre-packed and reheated, but actually made from scratch. for example, a beautiful mushroom risotto was on the menu that I thoroughly enjoy it, and the same with apply to the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding Sunday dinner, which I had a number of my friends who were also at the same event as myself thoroughly enjoyed it Staff could not do more for you and where on hand to answer queries and to say that any qualms gets hard at ease. Overall, the standard of decor in the hotel has improved somewhat over the last three or four years, and I am pleased to see that it continues to do so . I was

We arrived to a warm welcome..we were concerned about mixed reviews..but we needn't have worried. Lovely room no 17..large balcony..had a great swim. Breakfast was standard. Cleanliness great. Customer care brilliant. We met some people who had dogs with them..catered for them great. We were more than happy. Book it and ignore negative reviews.

Beautiful hotel grounds. Excellent location. Very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast is absolutely lovely, best buffet breakfast I’ve ever had. Reasonably priced. Rooms are spacious and bright. Pool is lovely and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again when returning to The Lakes.
