"The location is fantastic, right next to the train station. It was so convenient to check in within a three or four-minute walk after getting off the train, especially with luggage. However, there's no elevator. Public transport is right outside, making it super easy to get to all the towns and attractions in the lake district. Breakfast was excellent and clearly prepared with great care. The staff were very welcoming and always attentive to our needs. The hotel was very clean."

"The hotel is located in a prime location overlooking the lake, the service was friendly and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, that shower was excellent if a little small, I ordered poached eggs which were done to perfection, the rest of the breakfast was buffet style which was OK. I would recommend this hotel for it's location, service and cleanliness. I think it needs a little tlc but our stay was very enjoyable"

Breakfast is delicious and it was so enjoyable to have drinks by the fire. The surroundings are breathtaking and well located for walks. I’d love to stay again"

"We had a lovely few days celebrating our 42nd anniversary. The Hotel is beautiful and the setting is breathtaking looking on to the lake. The bedroom was wonderful, authentic but with full modern facilities and views from room 11 are exceptional. The food served in the restaurant was excellent with wide choice and high quality. The staff were all helpful and friendly. I can't really think of anything to be critical about."

Wonderful location central for discovering all Windermere has to offer. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Bed so comfy I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was also wonderful. Highly recommend as we had such a lovely stay. We would most definitely stay again."

"Lovely stay. We had the romantic double room with a balcony which had picturesque woodland views with the soothing sounds of the stream brooke & birds, was just lovely. The room is small but perfectly kitted out & spotlessly clean. The bedding/towels/outdoor furniture are of a good quality and the addition of lakes toiletries was a fantastic touch. Just to note, a mini fridge is in the wardrobe which we didn’t spot until the morning we were leaving. Breakfast is good quality food and perfectly cooked, with little extra touches, such as served on a hot plate. All in all perfect location & stay. We will definitely return & I have my eye on the hottub suite already !"

"We had a lovely stay here for my partners 60th Birthday . Such a good choice I made. Gorgeous room, lovely view opted for a patio area so beautiful over looking the garden. A very tasty breakfast on the morning. Staff so friendly. It's definately a little gem of a place that I had read before hand . Perfect spot to stay, just a walk away from the main shops pubs etc . Perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
