Stayed for 2 nights in April room 6. Parking is off the street got a place no problem. Front door does not look as nice as it does on booking com website which left me with a bad feeling. Entry to main building and room is by a 4 digit code, you do not have to check in with a person which actually is ok if you don't want all that fuss. We were in room 6, on arrival at about 3pm the room was freezing cold, which surprised us as on trip advisor people were moaning about the rooms being too hot. I rang the mobile given and the lady informed me the heating would go on at 5pm, go off at 11pm and then come on at 6am, however the weather was awful raining and miserable and it was freezing in there, one radiator in the room and it was a massive room with a patio door leading to a balcony overlooking the garden, would be beautiful in summer. They should have the room warm for guests on arrival, especially when you have travelled for over 2 hours to get there, and it's cold!. The Bathroom was huge but had no heating so could not warm the towels and the shower power was poor, shower gel pump was broken, toilet plumbing needs attention as makes loud noises everytime you used it. Had to wear a polo neck jumper in bed as I was so cold. If you stay here please take your housecoat/pyjamas/slippers, I was so sorry I didn't have mine. I text the number the next day to ask for extra heating to be told they didn't have any but they would leave the heating on continously, this didn't happen as it was off when we came in later on, also said housekeeping would come at 10 30 but did not see any sign of them. The bed was ok, clean and comfy slept ok but it wasn't luxurious the pillows were flat and the bedlinen was cheap. There was no chair in the room as advertised so had to stand up to get ready. We left on the last day before 7am as we we just wanted to get out of there. We have stayed in better accommodation in Bowness, would not stay here again it was just too cold and inhospitable.
